Mission: Officially, we are members of the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America (SPEBSQSA), registered as the Rincon Beach Chapter, although our chorus name is Pacific Sound. Although there are other barbershop chapters in our local areas, during past years there has been a growing need to form a group committed to excellence in singing. Implied is the careful selection of members by a thorough audition process. Once a member, individuals face strong challenges for continuous vocal improvement which results in vocal performance at a very high level. We currently have 30 members.Two primary dedications of our many activities is to encourage vocal music in schools, and a desire to provide high quality, live vocal entertainment to the public at prices that both seniors and entire families can afford.
