Mission: To connect cancer patients with dentists and other specialists in order to provide preventative and restorative dental treatment To educate cancer patients about potential oral side effects of chemotherapy and radiation To raise awareness about the importance of nutrition and maintaining good oral health before, during, and after cancer treatments
Results: In 2012, 85 dental procedures were donated to cancer survivors by local dental professionals. Smiles for Survivors is on track to reach its goal of 120 procedures in 2013.
