Mission: Specializing in site-specific performance, Skewed Visions create workthat embraces site as an endlessly stimulating element of creative thought to transformthe experience of both actual and metaphoric spaces. We believe that any place can become a theatricalspace. Our mission is to change, with our works, the landscapeof daily life.
Results: Founded in 1996, we have produced over 21 original innovative site-specific works for a wide variety of spaces, exciting the spaces of everyday life.
Target demographics: Adventurous, artistic, everyday people wanting more from theater.
Direct beneficiaries per year: Depending on the space and audience capacity, between 300 and 3000 people experience a Skewed Visions performnce. But the quality of the experience is more important to us than the quantity of audience.
Geographic areas served: Minneapolis-St.Paul, MN - Twin Cities metropolitan area
Programs: Skewed Visions presents original, innovative performance works in a variety of locations. From the backseats of moving cars, to farmers' markets, to rooftop observatories, to quiet neighborhoods, Skewed Visions makes immediate work that engages issues of contemporary importance that has been widely recognized including articles in TDR and Frackija.
