Mission: Silverleaf services functions uniquely as a combined children's advocacy center and a rape crisis center, serving the eight county lincoln trail area development district. Silverleaf services' mission is to promote the health and well-being of the community by overcoming the impact and prevalence of sexual trauma through service, education and leadership. Silverleaf services accomplishes its mission through a wide array of services to victims and community members including a 24-hour crisis line, crisis intervention, forensic interviewing, counseling, support groups, consultation, legal and medical advocacy, education, information, referral and medical examinations. Funding for silverleaf services is primarily through state and federal grants.
Programs: To provide for 24 hour crisis line availability; to provide crisis intervention for child and adult victims; volunteers provided an estimated 9,193 (not included on return) in direct contact with crisis victims.
to provide for forensic interviewing for child victims of sexual crimes; to provide short term individual and family therapy with victims and non- offending friends and family members.
