Mission: To promote the attributes of shelby county to its residents and visitors through the sponsorship and organization of the shelby county applefest festivities. The applefest is a celebration of our local heritage and culture celebrated through a weekend of scheduled activities. These activities include 1) a taste of shelby county, 2) parade, 3) 5-k run, 4) children's activities, 5) performing bands and singers, 6) craft show, 7) talent contest, 8) free demonstrations by wood carvers, laser light show, blacksmith, cheer competitions, quilt show, 8) farmers market, 9) car & motorcycle show, 10) beauty pageant.
