It has been a pleasure working with the staff at SGAP Leaders. SGAP leadership display a true passion for their mission to support and inspire underserved youth. What I am incredibly impressed by is the large number of students who continue to invest their time, energy, and talents in the Leadership program well beyond completing the program themselves. Their eagerness to continue supporting the program really shows the impact the curriculum and its coaches have on these young men and women.I am thankful to play a small part in this larger vision for a better tomorrow for the next generation.

I have been working with SGAP since I was a masters student, and have been thoroughly impressed with how much Michele cares about the mission of SGAP Leaders. She has consistently looked for outside advice when needed and there is no sense that she would ever put herself before the mission. SGAP has continued to reach out to students and has effectively retooled throughout the pandemic.

I was initially matched with SGAP by a Fellowship that established interns in service-oriented nonprofits. Though I accumulated much experience in undergrad, I was nervous that my skill set did not meet their needs. However, I was immediately welcomed into the organization with open arms and trusted to work independently and on a team as if I had been working with them since their establishment. The SGAP staff delegated tasks to me that would both maximize my strengths and teach me new competencies and I have confidently grown as a student and a public servant as a result. SGAP motivates me every day to work for the sake of our constituents, and they have instilled in me the patience, flexibility, and diligence that is required when serving others. I am still with SGAP to this day and am grateful for all that they have given and continue to give me.

I have been working with the Student Global Ambassadors Program (SGAP) for 4 years. They have been instrumental in providing my high school leadership students engaging instruction, challenging activities, inspirational guest speakers, and opportunities for community service. Michele Joseph and her team do an amazing job of planning, preparing, and delivering unique learning experiences that is hands on and forces my students to think critically and question from the sustainability challenge to touring a facility which recycles waste into energy. SGAP is an asset in helping students to see beyond themselves and their impact in society.

It has been a pleasure to work with SGAP and watch it grow in the past year alone. The organization is constantly working hard to better itself and raise its capacity, which it has successfully done so by recruiting a team of delightful and hardworking individuals, all very invested in SGAP's mission. It is truly an honor to work with such a team of motivated individuals who are always so understanding and bring out the best in each other!

I volunteered as a grant writing intern with SGAP Leaders and I had a great experience. Everyone I had the chance to meet was deeply passionate about SGAP Leaders’ mission and put their heart and soul into reaching more students and broadening SGAP Leaders’ impact. I felt like a valued member of the team and everyone was very compassionate and wanted to help each other out. In particular, I had the chance to work closely with Ms. Michele Joseph, the founder, and I saw her drive and kindness up close. This is an organization that deeply cares about the students it serves and strives to provide more support and valuable learning opportunities through carefully constructed programs. It was a pleasure volunteering here!

An incredible non-profit, SGAP Leaders helped change my life when I was in high school by exposing my to a world of opportunities. SGAP taught me about the global impact of our actions, about the United Nations and the significance of our efforts for social justice/sustainability. I am forever grateful and know SGAP Leaders will achieve it's mission of 10,000 Leaders by 2030!
