Causes: Chambers of Commerce & Business Leagues
Mission: To create a structure for all interested parties to come together under the banner of "dispatch reduction and "alarm mangement and through a coordinated effort maximize the impact of false dispatch & alarm management across north america by maintaining a liaison with national or state law enforcement leadership, while educating and empowering local alarm communities to proactively foster relationships with law enforcement before a crisis exists.
Programs: Law enforcement outreach - training/support - attend local, state, & national law enforcement meetings to share our best practices and model ordinances to help them manage alarm operations. Also attend council meetings and workshops supporting chiefs and sheriffs by answering questions and sharing knowledge. As a result, hundreds of ordinances get modified each year based on our recommendations.
alarm management committee facilitation - attend state chiefs of police assocation meetings to help set up, manage, or facilitate alarm committees made up of chiefs and local/state alarm dealers to help them communicate better and self-regulate (manage) alarm issues. Now have 17 state chiefs committees in place with 8 more in various stages of implementation. Once formed, these committees oversee and recommend joint ordinances to all other law enforcement within the state.
alarm dealer outreach/training/ordinance support - we attend state, local, & regional meetings explaining best practice to promote to law enforcement and cooperative efforts required by them to support the national effort. We touch a hundred, if not a thousand or more dealers each year with our outreach.
