Programs: Scotts run settlement house provides a variety of services providing for the basic needs of our disenfranchised community members and offers vital services to senior citizens. We provide for the basic needs of our neighbors in need via: food pantry - which provides about a weeks worth of food for clients including personal hygiene items and household products; baby pantry - which provides families in need with diapers, wipes, layette items, baby food, and formula as they are available; back pack feeding program - now serving over 900 children in seven elementary schools in monongalia county by sending home a bag of food for the weekend so that no child will go hungry between lunch on friday and breakfast on monday; home repair and weatherization program - offers no cost home repairs so that those in need are living in safe housing; seasonal outreach programs - offers everything from fully stocked backpacks to thanksgiving,easter, and christmas baskets.
we offer programs and services that focus on providing information and knowledge to aid those living in poverty, whether it is free tax preparation or cooking demonstrations and classes. Services are offered to seniors through a once a month covered dish luncheon which provides seniors with not only a wonderful meal, but socialization as well.
