Mission: The Shack provides an inclusive, safe and fun environment for learning and recreation. Programs strengthen families by nurturing children, youth and community members of all ages in Monongalia County and the surrounding areas.
Target demographics: The Shack Neighborhood House is a mission project of the Presbytery Church of West Virginia, Charleston, WV and is also a funded partner of the United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties. The Shack has served the people who live in the Scott’s Run Community and surrounding communities since 1928 and is the second oldest nonprofit in West Virginia.
