Mission: Preserve the health, safety and integrity of the coastal waters and natural resources of bristol, ri. We accomplish our goals by promoting responsible environmental practices, supporting relevant educational initiatives and providing leadership and forming strategic partnerships to ensure that the long-term interests of our community are protected. We are an all-volunteer organization.
Programs: The organization seeks to gain a better understanding of the bristol harbor habitat including its chemical and physical characteristics. To this end, the organization had developed the predictive habitat model (phm) which predicts the impact on the harbor of various changes to the harbor.
the organization works with local schools to provide hands-on learning about how human activities and land cover changes impact the health and quality of water.
