I've been an active board member of the AGSYV for about sixteen years. In that time I've seen how much the guild enriches our community. All of our events are open to the public as well as our members, including workshops led by professional artists; programs presenting professional artists of all media who demonstrate and lecture; professional instructors who critique members' work; professional framers, art restorers, and photographers who show how to care for, present and prepare artwork; and other art topics as well such as marketing artwork. We've been awarding scholarships to students for many years and are now presenting student shows in which the highschool and middle school students can show their artwork at Gallery Los Olivos. This year we'll do this in partnership with Arts Outreach, another nonprofit group in the Santa Ynez Valley. The AGSYV has enriched my life tremendously, especially since I'm a landscape painter in acrylics. I hope it continues enriching the lives of the people in our community for many more years. From, Sandra Liatsos, Secretary of the AGSYV
