Causes: Arts & Culture, Singing & Choral Groups
Mission: The ensemble's mission is to offer quality performances of choral music of women's voices presenting innovative and inspiring music from all centuries to primarily new mexico audiences. The ensemble encourages the writing of new music for women's voices by commissioning compositions, promotes the recognition and appreciation of women's choral repertoire, and develops the performance opportunities and musical skills of its members.
Programs: The ensemble presented five performances of their christmas concert as well as one performance of their spring concert. The ensemble also presented performances at three local retirement homes and participated in a joint program at st. Francis basilica. A composition of music for women's voices was also commissioned. These activities promote the ensemble's exempt purpose of performing choral music from many centuries and cultures in innovative and inspiring concerts. There is an on-going commitment to excellence; singers hone their musical skills with constant self-monitoring and evaluation by the director.
