Mission: The mission of the san francisco lesbian gay bisexual transgender pride celebration committee is to educate the world, commemorate our heritage, celebrate our culture, and liberate our people.
Programs: The 47th annual sf pride celebration was held on june 24-25, 2017. The event featured two days of programming and entertainment across more than 20 community-produced stages and gathering spaces. The event was free and open to the public, with nearly 850,000 attendees over the two-day period. The 47th annual sf pride parade was held on sunday, june 25, 2017. There were 271 contingents in the parade, with an estimated 40k marchers and 100k spectators. Through our community partner program we were able to share in excess of $135k in proceeds with more than 40 bay area non-profits.
