Programs: Saint luke's college of health sciences began in 1887 when saint luke's hospital opened a school for nurses. The school was established as a department within the hospital in 1903, and it earned accreditation as a baccalaureate degree-granting institution in 1995. In 2010, saint luke's college became a separate not-for-profit corporation with saint luke's hospital of kansas city being the sole member. Students at saint luke's college have a variety of clinical opportunities within saint luke's health sytem. Today saint luke's college has bsn and rn-bsn tracks in its undergraduate program and offers a graduate degree and certificate in adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner (ag-acnp). The college is accredited by the higher learning commission (hlc) and the commission on collegiate nursing education (ccne) and is fully approved by the missouri state board of nursing.
