Causes: Environment
Mission: To provide financial support for programs and projects that improve the livability of the greater portland community and promote or enable participation in the portland rose festival. Fund programs to foster the education of young individuals through our field trip programs and music scholarships. Also serve the community through various historical activities that honor the portland rose festival foundation and the royal rosarians.
Programs: Parade float - provided support for the rose festival program of the portland rose festival foundation.
elementary education - provided financial assistance for educational field trips for disadvantaged children attending twenty-two portland area title 1 elementary schools.
traveling float - providing promotion of the royal rosarian foundation and support for the royal rosarians and portland rose festival foundation throughout the pacific northwest and vancouver, bc.
various other programs - grants to other charitable organizations for assistance with basic needs and education of children, musical training of young people, and a middle school living history program of the portland rose festival foundation. A banquet honoring local citizens who make a positive impact on our lives by their acts of heroism or outstanding humanitarian work. Maintenance of historical sections of the international rose test gardens in portland's washington park. Support of a city wide rose garden contest. Assistance with the queen's garden party to keep portland's history alive and support the portland rose festival foundation.
