Programs: 2017 was an incredible year with the premiere of kaidan project: walls grow thin an immersive experience based on japanese ghost stories, described by the la times as "part haunted house, part art installation, part performance art piece. . . Increasingly wondrous. . . Lovingly designed to engage a variety of senses. " we held readings and workshops for two new projects in west hollywood, continued our education and outreach programs that reached over a dozen communities and brought our ongoing traveling show, zen shorts, to both the pasadena playhouse and the national puppetry festival in minneapolis. We also hosted two successful fundraising events, our rogue gala & holiday telethon. 2017 was a big year for strengthening our infrastructure; we developed a four-year strategic plan, received our first nea grant, brought in a new managing director and near doubled our operating budget for the year.
