Mission: To promote the educational/scientific interests of modern analytical and spectroscopic techniques in the chemical, engineering, physical, and biological sciences and organize conferences for the purpose of exchanging information about said state-of-the-art techniques.
Programs: Conferences are dedicated to promoting the latest advances in modern analytical and spectroscopic techniques in the chemical, engineering, physical and biological sciences. Conferences are generalyy attended by 150-400 scientists with research interests in solid state nuclear magnetic resonance (50%) and electron paramagnetic resonance (50%). Attendees are primarily from academia with smaller numbers from industry and government labs. Approximately 15% of attendees are graduate students for whom this gathering is often their first opportunity to participate in a professional conference. For 2017 the annual conference was held in conjunction with the international society for magnetic resonance (ismar) in quebec city, canada and all 2017 conference finances were handled by ismar.
