Mission: R.O.C.C.S. - Research for Ovarian Cancer and Continued Survival was established in 1999 by Amy Chaiklin after she learned she had ovarian cancer at the age of 29. After battling years of chronic abdominal and pelvic pain, Amy decided to take her tragedy and make something good of it. R.O.C.C.S. is dedicated to educating women of all ages about this deadly disease; putting together public awareness campaigns; and supporting the research for finding a mechanism to detect ovarian cancer in it's earliest stages. The organization is comprised of volunteers who work diligently to make a difference. There are now two chapters: one in Connecticut and one in Mississippi.
