Programs: The housing development is specifically designed for lower income families, the handicapped and the elderly. All of the above program service revenue comes from the residents and enables continuation of services to them (exempt purpose) under the housing assistance payments program (section 8 of the u. S. Housing act of 1937) administered by hud and the california housing finance agency. This program mandates assistance, but not full subsidy to the needy recipients of the housing development services. The housing assistance payments for the 40-unit limited equity housing coop account for approximately 70% of the corporation's annual support.
