What a fantastic project! The revitalization effort of the Rig Theater located in Wink, Texas will surely benefit from this spirited and dedicated group of individuals. The current building had offices upstairs they will be converted into a common area and rooms for overnights guests. Looking forward, this project will bring new full time jobs and a boost to the local economy. Anxiously waiting to hear the updates.

It's not often that you come across a project with the combined attributes of a restoration-worthy building, the home of a world-renowned rock and roll pioneer, and a charming town that most people haven't heard of. The Rig Theater in Wink, Texas was Roy Orbison's home performance space and deserves to be restored to honor him and the role he played in the development of rock and roll.

I believe it is only fitting to preserve the Rig Theater and Roy Orbison Museum in Wink, Texas. This is where the incomparable Roy Orbison was born and began his long-heralded career that crossed all genres of music for over a half century. Millions upon millions of fans worldwide have, and still do, adore this unique entertainer, whose music inspired the blockbuster movie, "Pretty Woman," and whose contribution to the music world caused countless entertainers who followed, to most certainly be influenced by his distinct style of songwriting and singing emanations. I urge everyone who has loved the legendary Roy Orbison to support this well-deserved tribute to Roy and to join the effort to preserve these sites with the same passion that my friend, Walter Quigley has shown for many years.
Thank you,

This is a premium effort for the theater arts when it is considered that The Rig is The Hometown Stage of the great Roy Orbison. The museum next door will be relocated to the Rig Theater after the theater is fully restored. This non-profit needs immediate assistance to the tune of $8,000,000 which they plan to use very effectively. Capital investment is planned to carry this gem and to improve the human condition in this tiny town. Come on fans and oil industry ....... please give us a hand, we'll make you proud.
