They help the local HIV and Cancer patients in Long Island with supplies and emotional support. Richard and Jody are inspiring people! I checked on the Richard M. Brodsky Foundation and they are 100% legal to operate as a 501 (c) (3) public charity and they even have their IRS letter of approval and 990 E-Z filings posted on their website, http://5kaidscancer.org/?page_id=982. I really think the Foundation does great work both in Africa and America. Its founder, Richard Brodsky, is a marathon runner and he is living with HIV since 1997 and brain cancer since 2002
