Mission: The council of residential specialists (crs) mission is to train and empower ethical, efficient, and successful real estate professionals. Crs provides its members with a strong referral network of more than 31,800 members.
Programs: Crs provides members with many benefits including the crs designation, which is the highest professional designation awarded to realtors in the residential sales field. The designation is achieved by both experience and educational courses offered or approved by crs. Other member benefits include access to and inclusion in the crs membership referral directory including access and a profile listing on crs. Com, the organization's website, where members share ideas and find solutions. Additionally, the residential specialist magazine helps members stay on top of the profession by providing news and industry trends, as well as features about the latest technology tools, marketing strategies and business building ideas. The council conducts three major meetings (sell-a-bration, midyear meeting, annual realtors conference and expo) to provide members with networking opportunities, educational workshops and industry information.
crs develops, approves and supports educational offerings that teach real estate best practices to residential real estate agents, increasing their productivity, and ultimately improving the quality of service to home buyers and sellers. All educational offerings earn crs designation credit. In 2016, crs held 271 courses with over 9,700 professionals in attendance. Additionally, there were over 8,490 registrations for live crs webinars of those, 5,293 live webinar registrations were complimentary. Furthermore, over 1,059 recorded webinars were sold and 836 complimentary webinar registrations were taken.
crs offers reviews of products, services and tools to crs members and students that have passed rigorous reviews conducted by the council's product review panel. These products, services and tools are selected to help crs members and students increase their sales, improve their quality of service to home buyers and sellers, gain an edge over competition and promote the crs designation and education.
