Programs: Advocacy for german companies in washington, dc - representative of german industry & trade (rgit) represents the interests of german industry, in particular the members of dihk and bdi, before the u. S. Administration, congress, the german administration, and international organizations like world bank and imf to increase the chances of german companies' participation in u. S. Projects. Rgit is working closely with the german-american chambers of commerce in new york, atlanta and chicago, and the international financing organizations and the united nations. Rgit is offering business services for establishing business contacts, coordination and production of statements, researching information, monitoring and business information about the united states events. Rgit regularly organizes events to foster the transatlantic exchange of information and to improve bilateral trade. These events include 1) trade missions and informational trips for german companies to the world bank, 2) events highlighting diverse trade and investment issues with experts in transatlantic trade and economic policy, 3) briefings for special guests 4) round table discussions as part of the german-american trade forum with political and industry visitors from germany 5) annual press conference german-american business outlook about the situation of german companies in the united states in cooperation with the german-american chamber of commerce, 6) rgit is considered a meeting point for administration, industry, science, political institutions and experts regarding transatlantic economic issues.
