Programs: Our core program focuses on campaign finance reform, transparency and ethics in government, and providing tools for voter engagement. We accomplish this by researching and advocating legislation, promoting adoption of small donor matching campaign finance systems, advocating for increased disclosure of campaign contributions, and maintaining illinois sunshine - a free online database that tracks all political spending in the state of illinois.
in order to further educate voters on reform issues, we host free educational events throughout the chicago area. Topics have included transparency through open government data, analysis of local elections, redistricting reform, campaign finance disclosure policies, and corruption in illinois politics. These events are held at local colleges and universities, and feature expert panelists from across the state.
