Causes: Education
Mission: The Redondo Beach Educational Foundation (RBEF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to inspire our community to invest in Redondo Beach public schools so that every student can develop knowledge and skills that go beyond what public funding alone would achieve. RBEF proudly and efficiently raises money for the Redondo Beach Unified School District, allowing them to focus on the social, emotional and physical well-being of every student. Established in 1991 by a group of concerned parents and community leaders who realized that an excellent school system could not rely on state funding alone, RBEF raises money through its annual investor drive, corporate sponsorships and special events. It is rooted in the belief that the best opportunities come from creating the most well-rounded children, providing the foundation and support for the whole child.
Results: For the 2019-2020 school year, RBEF granted the Redondo Beach Unified School District $1,125,000.00 for the following educational programs: • Credentialed PE Teachers • Middle School Math Coaching Model • Middle School Science Coaching Model • 5th Grade Band Teachers • 5th Grade Vocal Music Teachers • 1st-4th Grade Vocal Music • Teacher Grants • College Field Trips • Robotics • 8th Grade Trip to Museum of Tolerance • Band Instruments Repairs
