I had never participated in community art programs before, although my former hometown had 2 great programs that were very successful and well respected. Then, I moved to Red River County, and met Laura Dial, who persuaded me to just TRY one show, with a small part...now, 3 yrs later, I will be performing in my 5th play with a bunch of great kids and adults, have assisted at music/art showcases and children's art shows, and am looking forward to many more chances to work with the young people in this area to give them clean, wholesome activities to participate in - this has truly been an eye opening (and heart expanding) experience for me!

I got to be a part of their production of A Christmas Carol, and I LOVED it! It was so much fun and everyone was so welcoming! I had never been in theatre before and they were super nice! They guided me along the way and helped me to far exceed my expectations in myself! I couldn't have asked for a nicer place to begin my love of the arts!

All of my friends were actors with the Red River Revue and they told me to audition. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with kindness. When I went back to audition everyone made me feel comfortable and welcome!

Got involved because I can sew and mend. Ended up Board Sec. and doing concessions. In this poor Texas county I saw the arts presented to the community, most at no admission charge. Some acted in 3 Christmas plays, some made costumes, some did makeup and some presented classes. A Children's art show has occurred for 2 years. It's good to see all ages work together.
