Mission: Volunteer teams rehabilitate homes for low-income elderly and disabledhomeowners, veterans, and families with children, as well as nonprofitfacilities such as schools, shelters, and community service organizations. All work is performed by volunteers at no cost to the organization.

The repairs, renovations, and modifications forhomeowners help these individuals continue to live independently inwarmth and safety and to age in place. Most work is performed byvolunteers at no cost to the homeowner or facility. Corporations andother groups raise funds and provide sponsorship fees and contributionsto cover the cost of the materials and skilled labor. During the fiscalyear ended june 30, 2018, work was performed on 42 homes. Work was also performed on a community facility for the chesapeake health education program (chep).
