This place had offered awesome services when Michael Kaucher was the executive. The current executive has awful relationship with the churches in the area. She is not educated enough to have this position. She was the reason for terminating the previous staff. I think she is not professional at all. She wants her employee to agree on her opinion without any discussion. It's such a bad organization to work with or donate your money.

Mission: The mission of the reading berks conference of churches is to serve the christian church in berks county by assisting individual congregations in their mission to make disciples of christ, believing that the result of living ones life as a disciple makes a positive impact on the community and the world.
Programs: Berks prison contract is under contract with the reading berks conference of churches for the provision of jail chaplains and chapel staff, for the provision of religious services and programs for the entire inmate community. Approximately 430 congregations work cooperatively with the chapel staff to assure that the religious needs of the inmates are met. The following supportive services are also provided by chaplain staff and approximately 200 volunteers to connect inmates with the outside community for rehabilitation and continued growth weekly one on one chapel visits between inmates and clergy, or designated religous representatives the weekly halfway church ministry provides a sense of community around a shared meal, along with support, prayer and fellowship for released inmates
berks heim contract in cooperation with the county of berks contracts rbcc to provide chaplaincy services. Some of the prgrams we offer at berks heim are sunday catholic service in the morning and protestant in the afternoon. We have chapel services every tuesday and thursday morning. We also provide services of devotions or sacred music throughout the week. Our active schedule of 28 services offered each month in the chapel keeps our population busy. We also offer weekly bible studies or hymnal sings on each resident unit for those residents who want to participate. Residents are also visited on a regular basis for the opportunity for one on one visitation with chaplains.
immigration center contract in cooperation with the county of berks, this contract provides for a chaplain to coordinate worship services and volunteer programming such as bible studies and other activities. The berks county family residential center provides a safe, secure environment that promotes personal accountability, competency development and community outreach programs.
