I understand that organizations that support low income clients may need economical office space; however, I did not feel comfortable as soon as I arrived at what looks like a poorly maintained, temporary office rental business. The director had sent me an appointment after I expressed interest through 1-800-Volunteer. I arrived on time and was told by a surprised person in the one-room office that the director had gone shopping for office supplies. When I made the appointment, I gave the director my cell phone number in case something came up; I guess she forgot our appointment.
