Mission: The foundation's primary exempt purposes are the promotion of health and social welfare, and the relief of distress. The foundation's specific mission is to improve the quality of life and well-being of (i) active duty or former members of the united states army who have suffered serious physical or psychological injury in the line of duty (such persons are hereinafter referred to as "injured veterans"), and (ii) members of the immediate families of injured veterans (hereinafter sometimes referred to collectively as "veteran families").
