Students for Liberty has produced one of the best experiences that I've had while working in this movement. I have had the opportunity to do so many cool things with the organization and meet many people that I consider some of my closest friends. It has empowered to take on bigger challenges in the movement and to achieve bigger wins in the advance to fight liberty. If you are a lover of liberty who is wanting to fight for a freer future. Students for Liberty is your go to organization!
If you are in a politically challenging country you should be extra careful about current CEO of SFL who is a strong supporter of an Islamist terror organization. It's proven that he will not be afraid of putting hard working volunteers in jail just for some donations from a religious cult. In fact, he even prevented volunteers from taking legal precautions against prosecution in their country and lied about it later. I suspect his association with that Islamist cult originates from his time studying in Turkey.
I volunteered with this organisation for years and stayed in touch even after I left. I used to love it, but now it disgusts me how far it's fallen.
There are two sides to SFL: the public-facing side and the internal management. It looks great on the outside but is rotten inside. The CEO lacks experience, and it shows.
There are too many issues to list, but a major problem for me was finding out that a senior manager was soliciting volunteers and young women at events. This was known by the CEO and COO, yet nothing was done for too long.
They preach their "HOPE" values but don't follow them, expecting impossible standards from others. Some staff members just freeload and work to maintain their cushy positions.
I now see it as a scam, using volunteers and mistreating staff under the guise of charity and values. Years ago, they even took money from a tobacco company for fake activism, using students as a "rent a crowd" for corporate interests.
The CEO's salary is higher than entire budgets for some regions. Donors should know how their money is really being spent. Earlier this year, they fired a bunch of staff without warning because they couldn't raise enough funds, refusing to take pay cuts or responsibility.
The North American program is a joke, led by a yes-man appointed by the CEO. It's telling they can't (or won't) find a competent local to run it.
Many still find value in the organization, but most are unaware of the CEO and his inner circle's actions. They cover for each other to keep their high salaries. Take all those 5-star reviews with a grain of salt—managers push volunteers to leave them.
I was a volunteer for 3 years and a staff member for 2 more, before being kicked out because the CEO was allegedly unable to bring in new funds, and that our department was not doing well (more on that later) (this, despite him telling everyone in a staff meeting that the org had a solid backing of money from the previous and current year in case anything went wrong). Despite the ideas of ownership and professionalism, the CEO decided that approximately 20 members of the staff needed to be fired for his mistakes, and the Board went with him, in a blatant attempt to silence criticism from the staff for his (and his lackey's, who got promoted rather than fired for his own) behaviour.
After that, they sent us a ridiculous separation agreement (3 weeks pay, and we cannot legally challenge them on any of the illegal bs they did), which they demanded to sign within 3 days so that we would not have time to get a lawyer to properly read it. Nevermind the fact that it read as if it was written by a non lawyer, with spelling mistakes, bad definitions, and in general gave the idea that they hastily drafted it to shut up anyone fired.
I'm not even going to go into detail about the things I found out after I was fired. Concerning the fact that our department was not doing well enough, we were mid-way to having our own fundraisers independently to reduce overall cost on the org, and to be able to plan our own things. They didn't like this independence in a "libertarian org". They also didn't like the fact that they fired me because they kept my image and title on their website for several months, until I had to ask them _kindly_ to set me free, as we had already broken up and it was creepy how attached they were to me. A friend suggested that they did this to bring in more donors by appealing to the fact that my role was related to tech and data. The CEO is, in my opinion, slimy enough that I could see this to be the truth but I nevertheless give him the benefit of the doubt.
Now, let's check the salaries

Why is it that the C tiers make so much money when they are supposedly missing funds? Do donors and volunteers know this? The image was for the year 2023. What will the year 2024 be like?
I started volunteering with Students For Liberty (SFL), when I was in the university and I am happy I made that decision. All my meaningful engagements outside the classroom were not far fetched from SFL. I have come to understand the ideas of liberty, the true meaning and importance of capitalism. I have been exposed to a wide range of written and visual materials on the ideas of liberty.
Some of the skill sets developed and improved on include project management, public speaking, grass root engagement, negotiation skills amongst others.
It gets even better as the years go by. From volunteering, to a role as a Communications Intern, then a Prometheus Fellow. Including numerous travels, professional trainings and recognitions.
Today, I can comfortably say that SFL is home. If you want to learn about the ideas of liberty, build a global network and remain relevant in an ever changing world, Students For Liberty is for you.
I have had the opportunity to be involved with Students For Liberty (SFL) for the past four years, and my experience has been incredibly positive. As both a volunteer and participant in several of their events, I have witnessed firsthand the organization’s strong commitment to promoting the principles of liberty and individual freedom.
SFL’s mission to empower young people to advocate for liberty is not just a slogan; it is a goal they actively pursue through a variety of well-organized programs and events. I’ve attended their regional conferences and leadership training sessions, and each has been a valuable learning experience. These events bring together passionate individuals from diverse backgrounds, all united by a common goal of advancing liberty.
They really helped me out with my career path. I could relocate from Guatemala to Europe and I am about to start my PhD program in Political Economy.
I was a volunteer in SFL during much of my college career. It's hard to describe how a young libertarian feels getting to meet people who share much of his same beliefs, often in-person and in a greater community activated towards changing public perception of these ideas on campuses around the world. With that said, while I can honestly say that many of its members carry the flag of liberty proudly, the amount who seem actively antagonistic towards freedoms that make them uncomfortable is boggling to the mind.
It's hard not to burst into a tirade when discussing how addlepated their reaction to the Israel-Hamas War has been, constantly flipflopping and ultimately unprincipled (something along the lines of "against anti-Semitism, but staunchly agnostic on the war"), or how they misallocated so many funds into half-baked fellowships in partnership with Objectivist orgs (Prometheus Fellowship's integration with SFL was infamously poor among those with whom I've discussed it), or how uncommunicative and downright unprofessional the young leaders were in leading the charge.
However, maybe a lot of it could be excused by the fact that most of their staff have been and continue to be composed by twenty-somethings with hardly any real-world experience; most of them are social climbers whose desires to work in the increasingly constricted, underfunded liberty movement have blinded them to their better consciences and kept them remarkably authoritarian in their policies towards volunteers. And to a certain degree, I can empathize with all this. If I cared about staying in party line with liberty-based notables like Cato or Reason (and had a decent amount of self-hatred), I could see myself keeping up the clean-image Classical Liberal respectfable moderate charade for a little while. I even agree that wrangling in young, oft-braindead libertarians is itself a Herculean but probably necessary task for any organized movement.
But I cannot forgive the people who know better from being belligerent to the ends, at the expense of lower staff, volunteers, and the movement in totality. I had my spats and disagreements with lower-order staff members who had good intentions. But when they had the rug pulled out from underneath them without warning or offboarding (yes, seriously), I still felt as if they had been wronged. When the organization underwent vast changes under the auspices of "restructuring," and started purging members they had deemed undesirable without prompt or review, I knew that what Students For Liberty had become was a facsimile of the one I had joined just a few years prior.
It's ultimately part of a greater strategy by far bigger wigs to coax impressionable, energetic activists to impress donors enough to secure millions in funding, some of which goes back into the system and lets students play dress-up and network for a couple of years before seeing them as a liability and disposing of them to bring forth a new class, to continue the cycle again and again. I don't know where the money is going and how the money is divvied, but I reserve my right to be skeptical to say the least.
They won't succeed in perpetuity though, and they can't, because they aren't taken seriously already by many of the very organizations they have partnered with. I've heard tell of various orgs who are cautious about working with them. The more their insidious, opaque operations are revealed, the more they risk serious collapse. They only have so much credit to their name.
i used to really like this organisation but after hearing of its purge of libertarians, minarchists, ancaps and objectivists i cant support it anymore. i defended this org from homophobes, sexists, racists and other collectivists but this has only put the ball in their court. lgbt rightists shouldn’t have to be associated with neocons, especially in an organisation that claims to be anti state. ifems and women should be able to be libertarian in a libertarian organisation without getting kicked. racial minority libertarians shouldn’t be treated as pawns for neo conservatives. this nonprofit gave me hope for the liberty movement and then dashed it entirely. i hope it comes under better leadership.
I am saddened to be hearing concerning reports of SFL severing ties with active libertarian volunteers and lying about the reasons why.
This needs to be addressed immediately.
I was very impressed with SFL when I attended ISFLC in 2016, and would hate to see it collapse due to internal rivalries or politics.
It was a shining beacon of libertarian thought and collaboration that gave me hope for the future.
In the United States, our founders thought that when separating, "a decent respect to the opinions of mankind" requiredthat they "should declare the causes which impel them to the separation."
That is why our founders listed 27 reasons for their separation.
For the past seven years, I've had the privilege of serving as a coordinator at Students for Liberty. This experience has allowed me to grow into the leader I aspire to be, make a meaningful impact on my community, and forge lifelong friendships within the libertarian network.
The organization offers unique opportunities to develop skills that aren't typically taught in college. Through the creation and execution of pro-liberty projects, such as seminars, campaigns, and conferences, we work to spread the ideals of individual liberty.
Moreover, as recognition for my active role as a coordinator, I’ve been awarded to participate in various trainings, including bootcamps, national and international events, and the prestigious Prometheus Fellowship Program.
One of the most wonderful organisation that has helped me grow and move ahead in life. And learn more about what principles matter and why those are needed for a better world.
Previous hope for this institution, yet after mass mismanagement and genuinely dishonest practices, should no longer be trusted as an organisation to uphold rights, or so to speak, "liberty."
I loved SFL. It's such an important organization with a noble goal. I dedicated countless hours of my life to it for this very reason. The value it can bring to students, in America and abroad is unparalleled.
But there are so continuous problems with upper management that continue to get swept under the rug.
There are continuous staff turnarounds where some of the most dedicated and hardest working people are fired while others who have had repeated issues or are ineffective stay on. It seems to me the basis is more about who are yes men rather than who performs well and will be honest.
When they do fire people, they refuse to give notice or cause. This creates problems for those let go and for those left on the organization who constantly feel disenfranchized.
There is far too much ego in top positions. There is far too much bravado in the male dominated space. Countless women have expressed agreement with this view, countless women were mistreated and spoken down to, and countless women have either left the toxic environment or been pushed out by such circumstances.
There must be more monitoring into how money is spent. Far too many cases of higher ups using SFL funds for their personal spending or choosing to go to the most expensive dinners and get the most expensive items. I've heard that there are known offenders and that it is an open secret, yet for some reason these people are kept around during budget cuts and layoffs. Also, I'm curious just how much money is spent on booze.
SFL has constantly focused on quantity over quality, perhaps because this is the metric the board or prominent donors are looking for. This metric is not useful for the organizations actual goals, fewer people with more support can have a far greater impact advancing liberty around the world. However, there is a drive to just get as many recruits and attendees as possible, while we already struggle to meet our potential with more limited numbers. This is particularly a problem in the non-american regions which are prone to inflating numbers and/or driving out talent by bringing in large quantities of unaligned/non-libertarian people.
The worst part is all these problems are not new. There have been repeated efforts to make staff, donors, and board members aware of these problems. These problems that have led to the waning of this organization. Yet, when confronted with these problems staff silence, shame, and excommunicate those alumni or coordinators.
In the past, open letters have gone unaddressed. Complaints and defiance punished. I hope in the future, to see new mindsets, less ego, and more of a commitment to quality. It is everyone's, who claims to care about the organization and its goals, responsibility to address these concerns. The CEO, the board, donors, staff, and volunteers.
SFL is not a sincere liberty advancement organization; they are culturally Marxist entryists seeking to purge the liberty movement of anyone who rejects their shibboleths. They expelled one of their top 25 most active members this year (at thisissu on Twitter) simply for pointing out that Islam is hostile to liberty.
SFL is part of my life. Thanks to this organization I have been able to grow personally and professionally. My first trip by plane had been possible thanks to this organization.
This organization no longer gives a platform to those who support liberty. The people in charge have been antithetical to the liberty movement. As long as they are around, it will be an organization that conservatives or libertarians cannot support.
Current leadership is misguided and corrupt. Many of the current staff as well as volunteers are misogynistic and unprofessional, yet none can understand why they struggle recruiting women.
The current North American Programs Director is a huge issue as well. His European nationality has him ill-equiped to empathize with the specific issues of North American studentsand is extremely disruptive to the culture within the organization. He is highly unprofessional and has no concept of cultural differences between the US and Canada. He refuses to take feedback from students, especially women. He lacks accountability and has no true leadership skills as he prefers to micromanage students rather than empower them like the SFL mission statement states. He is condescending, egotistical, and rude. He will read a book about management from the CEO of a startup and force three rest of us to do as it says without applying it to the specific needs of our organization. And finally, he is a poor programs director.
I fell out of love with this organization in the last 6 months as I watched everything about it go downhill. This is disappointing as the staff and students used to be the best of the best. They overturn staff like crazy. I have watched them fire their best staff members for the most absurd reasons. They have unrealistic expectations for students who attend school full time and work 20+ hours a week.
This is all very disappointing, and I hope to see it change in the future.
Very dishonest organization. They build their brand around libertarian politics but actively keep radical libertarians out of the organization in favor of statists and hawks. The group is likely affiliated with the CIA.
Students for Liberty has provided me with knowledge, skills, and exposure. My three year at Students for Liberty are the best years in my career growth. I am looking forward to seeing more engagement with Students for Liberty. My aims is to pay back to my community what I have gained and learned from Students for Liberty.
Extremely dishonest senior leadership. Incredibly misogynistic culture and the words they preach HOPE (Humility, Ownership Professionalism, entrepreneurship) are completely hollow and contradictory to their actual culture. I have watched amazing staffers and students alike be treated terribly and quit or be fired after YEARS of dedication. Donated money is wasted on fat salaries of a few at the top, while vital departments are starved for a budget. Whatever activities you’re sold as “look at our great work” is a fluke and not because of the great thinking of any strategists. Students For Liberty is a multimillion dollar scam that has been run on the unsuspecting good hearts of passionate students and staffers. The students are wonderful and worth supporting. This organization is not. SFL does more to kill liberty than spread it.
*FYI: the Global PD asked students to leave 5 star reviews to maintain top rated org status on this site.
Absolutely atrocious organization. Universally hated by everyone that they claim to represent. Recently they have begun purging several promising libertarians without explicit reasoning. There's also plenty of reason to suspect corruption and foul play behind the scenes. Using funds for personal travel expenses, for example.
The CEO is a coward. He has a habit of hiring yes men who are either too afraid to disagree with him or are just looking to ride his coattails. There are rumors of other misconduct as well...
They have someone from Austria as their North American Programs Director and is totally out of touch w student life in the US and Canada. Programs Director has a major ego problem and an inflated sense of his own importance to the volunteers.
Repeatedly women in the organization are pushed out simply because the men in charge don’t like them or don’t like it when women disagree with them.
Overall leadership is misguided and uninformed at best, but more likely they are acting only to fuel their own social status.
The SFL ship has been quietly sinking for years. Volunteers have constantly been asked to pick up buckets and bail water to make up for the failures of upper management. The organization repels quality leaders dedicated to righting the ship like it’s their top priority.
SFL seems to be operating under the assumption that they can simply purge volunteers and staff every 12-18 months and keep shuffling the deck until they have the perfect crew to bail water out of the ship, but instead the crew is just shrinking every after every shuffle. Soon, I fear, the ship will have no more oarsmen.
The CEO of SFL, Wolf von Laer, is currently directing a purge of all radicals from SFL. Objectivists, anarchists, Christians, are all seeing the chopping block for vague and contradictory reasons provided. This organisation is dead so long as Wolf is at the helm.
SFL used to be an amazing 5-star organization in the 2010’s, with a vibrant and deep intellectual culture. Under the current CEO’s micro-managerial and fear-based leadership SFL’s staff turnover has exponentially increased, costing them vital talent, institutional knowledge, and directly resulting in the complete atrophy of their North American student programs. Also, the current CEO fabricates reporting data and misleads donors. Tons of issues, has been documented, the board of directors won’t do a thing about it until it’s too late and SFL is forced to close its doors.
Libertarian organizations shouldn't ostracize people for being too libertarian, they should ostracize them for not being libertarian enough.
They are corrupted to it’s core, they are purging libertarians and objectivists without any-prior communication, and without providing any evidence. They take money from objectivists but they are openly hostile towards Ayn Rand and objectivists in their organization.
The CEO’s wife orders staff around even though she is not an employee at the organization.
I’m extremely grateful for all the opportunities, lessons, experiences, and people I’ve encountered within this institution. I’d recommend it to everyone!
Student for liberty help me to overcome of my inner fear for achieving my personal goal through impactful program - Prometheus fellowship.
SFL has greatly helped me with my personal and professional development, and given me friends I will have for life

My experience with Student for Liberty (SFL) has been truly exceptional. SFL excels in connecting students from all corners of the world, fostering a global network of young leaders. The organization not only provided vast resources and numerous opportunities but also played a significant role in enhancing my leadership capabilities. SFL has left an indelible impact on my personal and professional growth, and I'm grateful for the invaluable experiences it has offered me

This international network has created a vibrant and diverse community of young leaders who are united by a common passion for liberty.

I have no doubt that Students for Liberty will continue to inspire and empower the next generation of leaders in the fight for freedom.
Students for Liberty has been a transformative journey for me. I joined this incredible organization just after high school at the age of 18. I became a Prometheus Fellow from India where SFL in partnership with Prometheus Foundation, is investing over U$42,347 on every fellow for development over the course of the program. It has been a life-changing experience for me. SFL has provided me with a platform to explore and champion the principles of liberty. It has significantly broadened my perspective through enlightening seminars and a global network of like-minded individuals. As a young person , I appreciate their support in driving local change, providing valuable resources for liberty-focused initiatives. SFL is pivotal to my personal and intellectual growth, offering opportunities, friendships, and knowledge to advocate for liberty and make a positive impact.
Students For Liberty has been the best thing that's happened to me in college. I stumbled upon the organization by chance when I wasn't looking, and it's changed my life in so many ways. I've traveled the US to engage in discussions and training. I've been encouraged and supported as a leader in both the organization and in my personal and professional life. The volunteers and staff are some of the most incredible people I have ever met. I have never been told no to an idea or a proposal, and I have been given countless opportunities to stretch and develop my skills. I could not be happier with this organization,, and the positive change is has made in my life.
SFl has been life exchanging organization for me in terms of opportunities, networking, professionalism and enhancing my soft-skills. I am indebted by the platform provided to make me Libertarian Activist. I have only words of gratitude for students for liberty and entire family for contribution in my grooming process. Indeed this organization invest in impact which is more commendable.!!
Thank you so much
I'm Linda, the current National Coordinator of Kenya Students for Liberty (SFL). I am equally a postgraduate student pursuing a Master's degree in Chemistry at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology Main Campus in Kenya. I want to share with you the transformative journey I've had with SFL, a journey that has not only honed my skills but also created a nurturing environment that I now call home.
When I first joined SFL, I was welcomed with open arms. This was a refreshing change for me, as I had previously faced rejection and discrimination due to my religion. Many people couldn't see beyond my religious beliefs to recognize my capabilities. However, SFL saw me for who I truly am and valued my potential.
Here are some of the ways SFL has enriched my life:
1. Acceptance and Belonging: SFL has created a space where I feel accepted and valued. It's a place where diversity is celebrated and everyone's contributions are recognized.
2. Negotiation Skills: SFL has helped me hone my negotiation skills, enabling me to navigate complex discussions and reach mutually beneficial outcomes.
3. Public Speaking and Panelist Skills: Through numerous opportunities to speak publicly and serve as a panelist, my confidence and communication skills have greatly improved.
4. Event Planning and Project Management: I've gained valuable experience in planning events, inviting speakers, and managing projects from conception to execution.
5. Scholarships and Programs: Participation in programs like African Liberty has not only refined my writing skills but also earned me scholarships.
6. Leadership Experience: Leading the Green Liberty project has given me the chance to guide a team, be mentored, and learn how to pitch ideas effectively.
7. Professional Communication: I've mastered professional emailing, effective communication skills, and proposal writing.
8. Partnership Building: I've learned how partnerships work and have successfully secured partners for various projects.
9. Risk Management: SFL has taught me how to take calculated risks, an essential skill in both my personal and professional life.
10. Community Management: I've practiced community management tasks, learning how to engage and grow a community effectively.
11. Networking: SFL has connected me with like-minded individuals, expanding my network and opening up new opportunities.
12. Personal Growth: Volunteering for SFL has made me an all-rounded person, improving my academics, community development skills, and overall resilience.
Joining SFL has been one of the best decisions of my life. It's not just an organization; it's a family that nurtures your growth and helps you become the best version of yourself.
SFL is unlike any other student organization in the sense that the ideas that it tries to spread reach an international scale. My story, for example, started when I was asked to help plan a regional conference about tech censorship. Truly I didn't know the first thing about getting people together and making a conference work, but the regional coordinator, at the time, had her stuff together. She whipped us into a fine tuned machine and we managed to fill a room full of young individuals from all over the western hemisphere and even some from the east. We had liberty advocates, local content producers and even a student who had faced censorship from his university police all talking about their stories. This is what SFL produces, interactions between individuals that help shape the futures of all those involved. I wholeheartedly endorse this organization in the application of what its message is.
Students For Liberty (SFL) has truly been integral in my professional development. Before I joined I had a passion for liberty, exploring ideas, and for activism. However, without SFL I would not have had the resources, training, guidance, community, network, and opportunities that I have been so important for getting me to the position I am now in. Despite still being an undergrad I have been able to be accepted into competitive programs for advanced undergrads and, largely, graduate students. This is due to the reputation SFL has and the skills it has helped me to develop. Beyond just training, they have given me the opportunity to build larger projects I am passionate about, entrusting me with a budget and the responsibility of executing an entire conference and managing my planning team. It is this ownership, empowerment, and encouragement of entrepreneurship that makes SFL so unique from any other leadership development organization. It truly is a bottom-up program made to support the unique skills and paths of all of its members. Beyond professional development, I have made some amazing friends and met people from all around the world. I would not be where I am or who I am without SFL.
I heard about Students For Liberty (SFL) in 2018 through a colleague of mine from the University whom we were serving within the Students Council, she convinced me to attend the East Africa Regional Conference (EARC) in Nairobi Kenya the same year. The ideas of liberty, leadership, entrepreneurship, and freedom inspired me to apply for the local coordinator program the same year. Unfortunately, my application did not progress to the interview level owing to the strong applications received that year. I continued to attend local events and gained more knowledge about how SFL works and in 2019, I successfully joined the local coordinator program. Amazing team SFL Kenya gave me a great platform to practically develop my skills as a student in project and event management through organizing local events, public speaking, and excellent networking with students, young professionals, and leaders.
In 2021 I successfully applied for the National Coordinator role, the second-level volunteer position at SFL. This provided a fodder to further sharpen the skills acquired as a local coordinator with an added advantage to supervise the activities of all volunteers in Kenya. With the mentorship of the dedicated staff, I was able to activate dormant campus chapters, expand my networks beyond individuals to organizations, and maintain high-level professional relationships with head of institutions some of whom volunteered to attend our events and donated their institution facilities as venues for our events. I was awarded National Coordinator of the Year and team Kenya Group of the Year.
In 2022 through a competitive interview, I became the regional coordinator for Eastern Africa, a role that propelled me to international space. Overseeing the activities of volunteers in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania expounded my global networks and improved my intercultural worldview. The improvement in the quality of the global network connected me with several young professionals exposing me to several international opportunities like winning a full scholarship to study Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Hayek Global College in Brasilia, Brazil which is still ongoing. I was awarded a trophy for the student of the year, a certificate for being the regional of the year, and an East Africa region of the year at the end of my service as regional coordinator. As per the SFL norm of rewarding talents and hard work, l am currently among the 50 top leaders in the Prometheus Fellowship, and as a senior coordinator, l have been assigned mentees and mentoring other leaders.
In conclusion, SFL is a force for positive change, a catalyst for personal growth, and a beacon of hope. I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to be a part of their mission, and I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone seeking to make a meaningful difference in the world.
Thank you, SFL for shaping me into the person I am today and for the countless lives you touch every day. Keep shining your light and making the world a better place.
Students For Liberty has played a pivotal role in my personal and professional development. Through my involvement with the organization, I've had the chance to enhance my communication skills significantly. This has not only enriched my ability to articulate ideas effectively but has also empowered me to excel in community advocacy efforts aimed at creating a better society.
However, one standout success I've experienced during my journey with Students For Liberty is in the realm of project management. The opportunities provided by the organization have allowed me to hone my project management skills, enabling me to plan, execute, and oversee initiatives more efficiently. This skillset has been invaluable in making a positive impact on the causes and projects I've been involved in.
I joined students for liberty as a volunteer in 2020. A family of peace, love and liberty, where I learnt how to propagate the ideas of liberty, through public speaking, leadership and advocacy.
Students For Liberty is an awesome place to be . I have been improved in my role as Regional Coordinator over the years and this of a truth is a place to trained young leaders and professionals.
I joined Students for Liberty in 2019 and I doubt I would have gotten this more knowledge and connection without the affiliation I have with the organization.
As someone passionate about human rights, SFL has provided me with necessary trainings and network to further equip me in my life journey. SFL is home, home for me! One of the best and safest place to be myself with support!
Students for Liberty is a fantastic organization to empower those who seek to create a freer and more prosperous world. They provide fantastic training, and amazing networking opportunities and help you reach your goals in whatever area your interests may lie.
I would thoroughly recommend any student that as a pro-liberty mindset to reach out to SFL!
Well, Students For Liberty is a great family to unleash our potential. Especially when you are a person to defend the American way of life, it's normal to feel alone in the world. Because in this new epoch in Latin America, when you defend the life, the property, the responsibility, the freedom of the people or any civil rights. Its very normal that professors and the principal of your career in a lot of our college, try to attack you for the simple reason to use your individual thought to question the logic of the new political discourses. In my case, I was study in a Jesuit university in Guatemala (Universidad Rafael Landivar) where socialist and postmodernist education becomes a mandatory rule now.
When you express your affinity with the classical liberalism or the civilizing values of the anglosphere makes you a kind of public enemy of the movements that exist in the university. However, to discover that there was an organization that brought together each of those people who felt that freedom is still a value worth living for, was incredible. It has changed my life and has allowed me to position myself as a public activist for civil and political rights.
Now I'm not only believe in freedom just in my own convictions, also for all the people I believe and those who believe in me, to bequeath freedom to the new generations. For this reason SFL is not just another NGO, but a human community that allows us to transform the lives of those who believe in freedom and truly defend it around the world. Or in my case, in Latinamerica.
. Students for Liberty is an amazing nonprofit organization that believes in and increases the abilities of young leaders around the world in the defense of liberty and individual human rights, even in countries with dictatorial government behavior such as Bolivia and Venezuela. Being part of SFL has changed my life completely and allows me to meet people around the world who fight for liberty and understand how important it is, especially for people who live in countries like mine, where even the most fundamental individual rights are violated by the government.
SFL changed my life by educating, developing, and empowering me to become a better version of myself and more competent and accomplished leader. I joined as a volunteer in 2015, and have been with them ever since.
I am so glad I found Students For Liberty! This organization far exceeded my expectations in helping me to develop new skills, push beyond my comfort zone and meet countless amazing people with shared interests who motivate and inspire one another.
Students For Liberty develops mature, skilled, and confident young adults who go out and change the future. Truly amazing!
SFL was absolutely vital to me during my time as a student activist. No other organization I worked with was as reliable and upstanding as me and my team worked to improve our country and our campus.
I choose to donate to Students For Liberty because this organization elevates the human condition through free speech and free markets. This is a hand up, not a hand out. SFL empowers each new generation to think, speak, and build for themselves. As a leadership development and empowerment program, the impact of SFL continues to grow as alumni do more and more good in their careers and communities. I choose this brighter future, and so I choose to donate to Students For Liberty.
Thanks to Students For Liberty (SFL) I’ve discovered a world of opportunities I did not know they exist. SFL is about its people, the stories you learn and you get inspired by. Your potential is never wasted in SFL, it is a place to learn and grow, to create impact for a freer future.
Students For Liberty is doing amazing work spreading freedom to every corner of the globe. If there's ever an issue of lack of freedom anywhere in the world, you can be sure that Students For Liberty is doing something to change it.
Students For Liberty and its members are fighting for freedom in over 100 countries, from Venezuela to Russia. They are at the forefront of today's most important issues: inflation worldwide, the war in Ukraine, etc. They are the future of this movement.
I started my relation with the liberty movement and SFL with a meeting a good friend from a class invited me to almost a decade ago.
That was the firts meeting held by SFL in my country and from that point forward my life changed completely for the better.
I've had so many great experiences with people from all around the globe, not just americans as you would imagine from an org based in DC, meeting and becoming friends with so much people that have had a positive impact on my life. I've learned so much, experienced so much and it's all thanks to the SFL family. I certainly wouldn't have thought that this organization was going to have such an impact on my life and the people around it.
After almost 10 years (it will be 10 years in 2023 for me) I couldn't be happier to have attended that meeting and to have joined such a great family, thank you for everything SFL.
I wish an organization like SFL existed when I was in college back in the late 90's. This has all the resources and young political upstart needs to learn and grow as they jump into the world of political activism. This would have given me the advantage I needed later in life when I started doing this professionally. .They do fantastic work and I am inspired to see college kids today from around the world leading fights in their communities for individual freedom and open free markets. Fantastic organization.
The most amazing thing about Students for Liberty is the freedom they give students to come up with ideas. No matter what area of society you want to lead in, SFL will connect you with the right people, give you leadership training and mentoring, and empower you to do things you never would have thought possible as a young person.
As a college student, Students For Liberty changed my life by introducing me to a community of people who cared about liberty, instilling a lifelong passion for the ideas.
An incredible organization committed to freedom. Encourages students to learn further about a variety of theories, and seeks to challenge the members´ worldview through constant events and speeches.
He podido aprender de muchisimo en la interacción en la plataforma con estudiantes de otros lugares de América Latina a fin de expandir las ideas de la libertad.
I've been volunteering at Students for Liberty in Brazil, and I'm getting a lot of opportunities. Having a great network with students who love liberty, participating in training on different topics and being part of the state administration has taught me a lot.
I've been having an amazing experience being part of SFL as a local coordinator in Brasil. It's good to be in a liberty environment with hundreds of other volunteers on the same page, or at least in the same liberty direction. Now I'm working on training to fundraising practices of the organization and probably going to hands on soon.
It´s great to be volunteer at Students for Liberty. We are trained to be a leader to build a freer future and it´s so exciting and inspirational. Five stars for sure!!!!!
i associated myself on SFL (students for liberty) this year and i can tell for all that it's being one of the greatest experience that i have on my life, the sensation of be part of something bigger and that have objectives and a mission for help other, teaching about liberty; entrepreneurship and so on, it's a pleasure to be part of it.
Students for liberty exposed me to skills I couldn't find before joining the Organization. I have learned various and empowered to advocate for a freer future through various capacities, from coordination skills to organization and pro-liberty startups management. This skills have been very helpful to my world, outside SFL.
To me, I would recommend SFL to any young student or recent graduate, is a platform you can learn more than just activism.
Students For Liberty has been of great impact to me and those around me in recent times that I've made contact with them.
It started out with a Free Market Revolution event that exposed me to conversations around why markets should be free with minimal intervention from government.
Then with this great event, I moved to being a volunteer by registering for the Local Coordinator's Program. This learning program thought me a whole lot as regards understanding the ideas of liberty and how I can come up with events to spread these same ideas in my local community.
A few months later, I attended the Local Coordinator's Retreat and the West Africa Regional Conference and these events opened up to many ways Africa can become better if only the ideas of liberty were understand by majority of her people.
Student for Liberty has set me on track to bringing that change alongside many of my colleagues who believe the world can be better, starting from our own communities.
They taught be to be a better student and professional and surely a better leader in society.
The programme is very fruitful as it enables us to grow our leadership skills as we are able to show that young people can change the world and are actually the leaders of tomorrow. Secondly it enables us to learn things we are unable to learn on school grounds and enables us to know more about human rights and champion for the voicesless
People's contributions towards the travel expenses of volunteers to set up studients for liberty groups in the regions of guinea-Bissau.
Student for liberty is a international libertarian organization that helps people from different races and cultures all over to the world know more about liberty and a freer society.
It has given me a broader understanding of capitalism, socialism, free society, limited government e.t.c
I joined SFL in 2019. Ever since, it has been moments of learning, connecting, adding value to myself and impacting others.
SFL is one organization that has a place for you. Be it in writing, speaking, Event planning and execution, partnerships etc.
I recommend SFL to any individual who seeks to get better and impact others in any part of the globe.
SFL is a great place to grow. I've learned a whole lot and been given the opportunity and resources to make an impact in my society. There's also a lovely family of volunteers and staff that put in so much work, support one another and have fun doing it. The dedication towards ensuring the development and growth of volunteers is awesome.
El mejor lugar para aprender y crecer. Nunca pensé encontrar un lugar en el que la prioridad sea el crecimiento personal. Todo es enriquecedor, el mail institucional, las capacitaciones y muchas cosas más
My experience was very good first of all I learned liberty the cours which I could not learn from any other organisation in the world. I new from Students of liberty the why Africa Steel underdevelopment and the solution to that problem "economic liberty" now I'm devoted to fighting all ideas against Social and economic liberty. KEVIN MIZERO LC BURUNDI
I've joined Students For Liberty for just few months and I'm already have the best time of my life!
Filled with diverse individuals from diverse backgrounds, every experience births memorable adventures.
SFL provides us with the platform to change the world for better; creating a Freer Future. And I'm here for it!
Students for liberty groomed me to the leader that i am today. When i was a student leader with Students For Liberty, I was given a platform to learn and perfect my skills in leadership, outreach and advocacy through my roles as Global Campaign Fellow and as a National Coordinator. Volunteering with SFL also taught me practical skills in Communication and Event management which helped me excel as a an advocate for liberty in Malawi. Now am the founder and CEO of Manson Institute for Leadership Education because of the numerous trainings i had in my time as an SFL volunteer and i owe SFL a great deal of gratitude for the opportunity and i will always be an SFLer because SFL is my home
SFL has helped me in developing both professionally as well as personally. Its greatest strength are its people, who are not only interesting, but also a delight to be around!
Students For Liberty made me believe in myself and in the power of ideas. It is a thoroughly enriching experience, melding both academics and experiential learning. Students For Liberty holds people and their liberties as the essential parts of its movement.
SFL change my perspective about my future, has been expanding my friendship network and made me a lot of good memories.
Joining Students For Liberty has being a positive decision for me, given the many benefits the group offers members. Before SFL, the ideas of liberty were vague concepts to me. However, in the months since I've been a local coordinator, I have attended several SFL-sponsored programmes that have broadened my knowledge of libertarianism and its importance to societal development, prosperity, and growth.
Moreover, I am able to connect with other like-minded individuals, with whom I exchange ideas. This has helped broaden my perspective on several issues and contributed to my intellectual development.
Being a volunteer for SFL has taught me how to be a selfless leader who stands for fairness, justice and liberty.
SFL is a nice platform and it has really built my capabilities in so many ways,,left for me,I would have said SFL is the best
Students for liberty is an excellent space to share knowledge and train in leadership issues, ideas of freedom, love of knowledge, ethical values and social commitment. I am very proud to belong to this international association that allows me to develop myself fully.
Alejandra Bárcena González, Mexico City.
First of all, I would like to say that I really appreciate the way we grow personnel and professional in the Sfl .
Second, as a economist stundent, all training I get in Sfl clarify all theory I lean at university and it help me to realise every decision in our country.
Cause of Sfl I'm now involved in economic and politic issues of my country.
Thank you SFL
I had developed skills that i wouldn't learn in school or university and I met incredible students that have the same virtues and share the dream of a freer future. Students for liberty has been e continues to be one of the best experiences that i have lived in the last years.
It's been awesome and amazing. I remember the retreats and west African Regional Conference. I love every bit.
Students For Liberty is a great nonprofit which has provided an arena to understanding liberty through libertarian ideas. Such ideas are learnt through modules and presentations through the zoom platform, the reading challenge amongst others. I have learnt a lot and have been able to understand myself and also assist others in realizing what it feels like to be liberated. This nonprofit does the most in trying to impart knowledge on others worldwide and is making great change without politicizing anything or governments but actually showing room for positive change
I have really liked the learning opportunities provided and the leadership lessons by the organization.
I became a Local Coordinator for SFL in 2019. By that time, I wasn't clear about what I wanted in SFL.
With time, I came to learn about the ideologies of SFL and what it advocates for. I realized my niche in becoming an SFLer in advocating for what would make our society free because "free is fun."
SFL has offered me many platforms to share my ideologies with respect to leadership and many avenues to learn, engage, and network with think tanks, and reputable people in this world.
I can now say that I found a home and my home is SFL, because I'm now a proud product of leadership steered by SFL.
I have been part of Students For Liberty for about 4 months and it has given me the opportunity to make my voice heard on the ideas of liberty that Venezuela so desperately needs.
During this time, we have received a constant stream of opportunities to develop our professional skills through training programs, and participation in campaigns.
I thoroughly enjoy and thus recommend the events we organize because they are full of fun and intellectual enrichment.
I can only see myself sharing the ideas of liberty along with this supportive and dedicated network of students
The expirience you can create in this organization is huge, so many connections. so many opportunities to learn differentes kind of topics, increase your hablities of lidership, communication, team work, digital skill, and other that i will be thankfull for the rest of my live.
Thank you for showing the world the ideas of freedom, the ideas for a better world...
For Liberty, Alway...
Students For Liberty ha contribuido en mi crecimiento personal y profesional; la red me ha servido como plataforma para potenciar mis habilidades de liderazgo y conocer nuevas personas que comparten mi pensamiento político.
Recently I participated of a National training of Leaders. It was the most important experience about Leadership in my life. I really learned a lot and i'm very happy with that. I feel better now for working for freedom and improve myself skills.
(the pic attached is me talking about the experience of the event [ TNL 2021 ] of SFL. After receive a prize of innovation.)
Don't thread on me, don't thread on anyone
Students for Liberty Brazil is an institution that encourages students for the freedom to be great leaders in the future. When I joined in 2020 I had all the support to develop and had personal and professional growth opportunities. I recently went to the National Leadership Training proposed by SFLB and the organization of the event was incredible, full of lectures and networking
SFL is a place for passionate youth leaders that believes in everyone's right to liberty. It provides professional skills and networks that grooms them to become advocates in the fields of human rights, peace and social, economic, legal developments while engaging both grassroots and policy-makers for sustainable positive impact. SFL creates many opportunities for young people around the world to see beyond the dominant perspectives and critically understand the idea of libertarianism and freedom while meaningfully contributing for global development through local, regional and global participation.
I got to know Students For Liberty through a post on a social network and until that moment I had no idea what Students For Liberty was all about. When I joined as a volunteer, I was very well received and guided with a vast amount of text, video and events that helped in my personal and professional development, which is in fact the mission of Students For Liberty, which is to develop leadership for freedom.
One of the greatest experiences a university student could have! I learned a lot about people and project management, ideas, and really feel like I contributed to things I'm proud of. Furthermore, I was crucial in helping me get the job I wanted. It was an honor to have been part of Students for Liberty Brazil!
SFL has managed not only to change the lives of people seeking a major change in their worldview, but it has instructed a large number of people to be leaders in their regions and communities.
I learned a lot with Students for liberty, they litterally change my life since i join in the organization.
Joining Students for liberty changed my life, I really can that I had a diferent mind before SFL, now I see the world with a diferente eye sight, I believe that SFL is one the most successeful organizations in Brazil and the world to form leaders, in my experience, I could practice and being in touch with a lot different people and learn a lot from the events that SFL supports, I made great friends and devoleped a lot of leadership skills, to summarize everything that I said, SFL is an organzation that changes the life for the better of anyone that joins in and become engajed with it's cause.
Tudo.
It is amazing to be able to connect with people who love freedom. But being able to develop events to publicize and even present these ideas for the first time to people interested in progress, is something that I cannot explain.
Students For Liberty has changed my life. Since I got enrolled with their programs, I was able to make network, develop my skills and build an actual community for liberty. I love the way they transmit the idea of liberty and how they prioritize respect and individualities.
O Students for liberty é hoje o maior promotor de liberdade estudantil no qual eu tenho orgulho de fazer parte!
It's far away more exciting to be part of the SFL than I ever thought. Look at the organization from the outside you don't see it, but it's such a good honor to be part of this and know all the people that are involved. 10/10.
I love working with this team, It is important for us to share liberty ideas in Venezuela because our political future needs a new project and that's why SFL works for.
I love working with Students For Liberty. They provide a lot of the developmental support to build better, more thoughtful activists. Unlike other organizations, they invest a lot in each of their members and help them to achieve their goals, rather than merely trying to swing an election. This strategy works! I feel as if I've developed into an effective leader for liberty in my time working with them. I've participated in several of their conventions, have had a leadership role in the org, helping to train younger members, and I've either won, or gotten to finals in their debate tournaments. I always have a blast getting involved, and being pushed to read, write, and think more about ideas. I would highly recommend getting involved in this organization, especially because of the professional skills and organizational support. This is a big tent organization that does great at providing a nurturing environment. I've been involved for several years, and it's always nice seeing all of my colleagues.
SFL helped me greatly during my time as an undergraduate. They provided me with so many resources needed to succeed along with an incredible, international network.
I am a volunteer in SFL since 2019, SFL has helped me to improve my freedom ideas, has given me the oportunity lo learn more, to have different activities and also has helped me to not being ashamed to share my ideas and to feel more empowered, this is the best volunteering I have ever made
Absolutely incredible organization! I am extremely grateful with SFL for my three years involved during my college experience.

Students For Liberty is an incredible nonprofit student organization that advocates for individual liberty across the entire globe. Through SFL, I was given the opportunity to learn more about these ideas, meet like-minded individuals from Europe, Africa, South Asia, and Latin America that will be my friends for life.
This organization is one of the primary reasons behind my renewed confidence in my career endeavors. As a regional coordinator for this organization, I've had the pleasure of collaborating with officers throughout it's hierarchy. Each of them has carried a profound sense of professionalism, care, and tact in all of their interactions. I'm incredibly happy to give them my endorsement!
Students for Liberty gave me a platform as a student to help explore complex political ideas. What made SFL better than any other student organization was that they truly encouraged good faith conversations and healthy debates with those who might not agree with libertarian ideas initially.
SFL puts a focus on the intellectual discovery of their student volunteers and it results in students who constantly aim to overcome the political polarization that currently permeates today’s political climate.
The bottom up, rather than top down approach is also unique and creates leadership skills that last long into professional careers.
SFL does a wonderful job mobilizing students to advocate for important causes like ending wars, international trade, and immigration rights. I have learned and benefited a lot from their efforts.
Students for Liberty has truly changed my life. After joining I have achieved things that I would have never even dreamed about like hosting conferences, traveling the country working with others, and even creating my own nonprofit organization. It’s because of the amazing confidence they put in their leaders and the resources they dedicate to allowing us to achieve our potential. SFL is truly a special organization.
SFL reached out to me while I was a freshman running a pro-liberty chapter on campus. They pushed me out of my comfort zone and taught me how to be an effective leader on campus. Thanks to SFL's help I had the tools and resources I needed to run a successful group on campus.
Previous Stories
I met Students For Liberty at the same time that I started university. Participating at the coordinator program I made an incredible network, founded the first libertarian group in my city and organized more events than I can remember. I became a state coordinator, I was nominated Student of the Year and recently took over as a regional coordinator, but none of that surpasses the learning that SFL has provided me over that time. The experiences and achievements are extremely valuable, and it was with this background that I began to learn that liberty, when it begins to take root, is a plant of rapid growth.
My only regret about getting involved with Students For Liberty is that I didn't do it sooner! My involvement with SFL has played a major role in my development as a leader, a community organizer, and a messenger of liberty. My time with SFL has been absolutely invaluable and I'm proud to be involved with an organization that's positively impacting the lives of students worldwide.
Being a volunteer at Students For Liberty has been an amazing opportunity to improve some skills that will prepare me better to the job market. I have noticed that I became a leader and met a lot of other students and alumnus who also aims to change our society and fight for a freer future!
Being a Students for Liberty Coordinator has changed my life! The organization helped me in my professional and personal life. You meet people that believe in the same things and share the same goals as you do. You receive all the tools and knowledge to fight for liberty and to become a leader. Joining SFL was the best decision I could have ever made!
This is an amazing organization to be a part of. I loved going to conferences organized by them, and they're the most autonomous and respectful of the liberty organizations that I'm a part of.
They're very inclusive, and open to different perspectives and as a libertarian this organization makes me proud to be a part of it. I like the internationalist style too
A great resource for people aspiring to develop their leadership skills. SFL connects students with a network of resources that help them be advocates for bringing about positive change in government and society.
Such a great organization for learning and developing new skills and a different way of thinking. If you want to make something good for society, joining this organization is the best you can do.
Lo mejor de esta vaina es lo que uno aprende. Desarrolla capacidades de liderazgo, de toma de decisiones y sobre todo de amor a la libertad libertad. Una libertad bien entendida.
SFL changed my life, literally. I improved my mindset, my leadership skills, and most importantly, my life skills. 10/10
Decision of applying for Local Coordinator program has been the best one I have made in my life. Before joining Students For Liberty, I was completely different person, way more shy with way less ambitions. I could never think I would once be able to host great events or take part in changing the attitude towards the idea of liberty in Georgia, which is crucial for creating a country where people are able to live in a way they wish for.
Students For Liberty has great power to change students, make them stronger, way more experienced and educated, which is the main source for spreading the idea of liberty throughout the world.
I can never truly share my gratitude towards this organization, for making me who I am nowadays, for developing my personal and professional skills daily and for giving me power to strive for the main goal in my life - to make this world a bit more freer by hard work I can do for that!
SFL provides a unique framework and experience for those who are interested in the ideas of Liberty. I have started few months ago a new chapter in Europe and so far it has been an incredible journey. The people and the resources SFL has are unmatched and the impact of the volunteers' work in every local campus is tremendous.
SFL has helped teach the values of freedom and liberty to students like myself, giving a fair perspective on life
SFL made a breakthrough in my understanding of social change. With the help of Studens For Liberty I've started Legalize Belarus, the only organisation in Belarus fighting for decriminalisation of drug use in the country. SFL is first of all a network of great people: once you're in, you'll always be part of the community.
Being a coordinator for Students For Liberty (SFL) myself, I can’t emphasise enough how much the organisation and its people brought me. If you’re a student or a young professional and want to advance liberty, then SFL is the organisation you want to join. They’re the reason why I first started to read about classical liberal ideas, political philosophy and even economics; I wrote articles that got published because of the legitimacy the name of SFL gave me. Finally, SFL being an international network, you get to meet pro-liberty people from all over the world at various events and exchange with people and culture you would have never encountered if not through SFL.
Great organization with spirit of liberty. I've learned a lot and it helped me to find ways to promote liberty worldwide.
SFL has helped me in so many levels.
I’ve developed myself in the professional part and also in the personal too.
It’s the best organisation ever.
The SFL experience is one of the best in my life, it connected me to the ideas of liberty, likely-minded and friendly people, and of course it helped me to gain skills that would be useful for my professional life.
This organization gave me an opportunity to express myself, to expand my knowledge, and I am so grateful for it.
Best student organization in the world, consists of the brightest young thinkers in our generation. Their worldwide activity has a massive impact on the promotion of liberty, and that includes countries where one wouldn’t believe liberty is even being discussed at. Join this great movement and help promoting liberty the right way (throughout peace and love)!
If it wasn’t for SFL, my career advancing the ideas I care about would have never begun. The excellent programs, the caring staff, and the amazing community all propelled me to a higher level personally and professionally. Do whatever you can to get involved with this life changing organization!
This organization has helped me develope my professional skills so I can have a jump start in my career. SFL continues to be my favorite organization to support.
My experience with students for Liberty has been nothing shy of amazing. The People you meet the activities you do being a part of change on campus. The staff are all super friendly and helpful and the conferences are the best times I've had while in college.
Students for Liberty is one of the few student groups that I think are actively making a difference. Their events are incredibly well run and the members are so inspiring. SFL really supports its activists and engage in the spreading of ideas not partisan politics. It’s so refreshing to see people actively committed to having conversations and working with people rather than antagonizing others. It’s no wonder SFL has gotten so big in such little time!
Students for Liberty has helped me network with people I never thought I would need to know. They provide opportunities that few others ever would. Being a part of SFL is truly one of my greatest decisions.
Students for Liberty helped me evolve my current passions and motivated me to discover my professional strengths. Whereas, in high school I was pretty quiet and never really thought of myself as a leader, SFL’s campus coordinator program helped me develop skills that I was unaware I could possess. I have my current position due to SFL.
SFL has empowered me as a student leader with the skills and tools necessary to impact my campus and my community. Thanks to SFL I’ve been able to launch and grow a strong organization on my campus, and I’ve been able to use the skills I’ve learned through SFLs programs to find a job in the non-profit space.
Students For Liberty is a rapidly growing network of pro-liberty students. Their mission is to educate, develop, and empower the next generation of leaders for liberty. SFL's work is global in scope, with a presence on every inhabited continent, and their bottom up leadership style encourages collaboration among groups at the local, regional, and even national levels. With their recent acquisition of Learn Liberty, SFL is positioned to reach millions of people with liberty-focused programming. And while their activism campaigns might garner the most attention, they also help students advance towards their personal and career goals, giving them the information and training they need to be successful. Student leaders can expect to gain proficiency with event planning, time management, public speaking, and similar skills. My experience with SFL has been overwhelmingly positive, and the friends and memories I've made will last a lifetime.
SFL is a strong and confident voice for liberty on college campuses around the world. It avoids many of the shortfalls of other student political organizations, because its international approach keeps events in perspective. It always feels a few years more mature than other organizations.
Amazing organization! They provided me with opportunities to get myself and my chapter involved in Liberty issues.
Students for Liberty (SFL) has been one of the few organizations I have worked with/for that has never let me down. With an international scope, SFL's robust structure and sturdy channels of communication make networking with a diverse range of activists extremely easy and helped me establish connections and friendships with many individuals who share a strong support for individual liberty. SFL's goals have always been ambitious but those working on all levels of the organization, top to bottom, leave no challenge or obstacle seeming impossible. I will always be proud of the work I've contributed to SFL and the impact I've been able to make worldwide.
Students For Liberty created connections that I will never lose and gave me experiences that I will never forget. I can say without a doubt that it has changed my life for the better. The things SFL is doing now are already changing the world, but it may take decades for us to fully witness the impact of SFL's work.
I got my first job through my work with Students For Liberty. They've helped me develop professionally and discover my aptitudes. I would highly recommend this organization to both students and those who wish to actually make a lasting impact on future leaders.
SFL is an incredible organization for anyone who loves liberty. It's a lovely family and all the events that SFL hosts are very inspiring.
I've always been a fan of Students for Liberty. Now more than ever I've come to see its importance, however. So many other students groups that ostensibly advocate for liberty and individual rights have succumbed to partisanship and bigotry. Students for Liberty has always taken the principled, non-partisan approach. SFL welcomes students of all backgrounds and identities to work together to create a better future.
I absolutely love Students for Liberty! I have been volunteering for them for several years now, and they work they do is truly amazing.
Students For Liberty is an amazing organization with a culture of empowerment and lifelong education. As a student volunteer during college, I acquired more real-life skills, and opportunities to grow professionally and philosophically than I got from my University. They are changing lives, I certainly wouldn't be where I am without them.
Fantastic organization and immersive networking experience! I loved volunteering with this org as a student and highly recommend applying to the Students For Liberty campus coordinator program!
Amazing organization with amazing people and events! Sponsored a lecture about free speech I put together at Vassar - huge success!
SFL is a remarkable international student organization that advocates for the rights of all individuals.
As a student activist with Students For Liberty, the organization was great. Their online and in-person activism trainings and online academic programs were top top top notch. I'd almost always use their materials while running meetings or tabling, and they were essential in getting great speakers at my college.
I'v been taken part in a few RC's all around Europe and enjoyed that they were questioning the status quo in the political agenda. Great work that the volunteets are doing!
That's the family that changed my life! You've got to attend at least one conference, or lecture, or just to meet one SFLer to get inspired, to get fully amazed by the most charming atmosphere of freedom and love. And then, you'll be driven by this idea, you'll attend more events, you will be starving to meet more people, to learn more about the ideas and to become the one who will do the same to others. Who will advocate for growth, for development, for presperity. You will be driven by your passion as you would have felt is in the atmosphere of your first conference, lecture or beer chat with someone as devoted as you are now. Because SFL is all about bringing you this spark that you will turn into your fire.
Students for Liberty is one of the few organizations that not only do I have deep respect for but also feel like I'm part of a family. They're doing incredible work in the liberty movement, and with their help, I was able to promote a cause that I care about at my school. Their training and professional development shaped me to be the person that I am now, and I'm eternally grateful for them.
Students For Liberty is the go-to organization for liberty minded students. Within Students For Liberty, I have got to work with some of the brightest individuals I have ever met. People in the organization are generally very open minded and keen to spread the message of liberty. Student For Liberty offers students a lot of great opportunities to develop themselves in various fields including writing, event organization, activism and many more. While Students For Liberty focuses on training the next leaders in LIBERTY, it is safe to say, that many students have also taken the skills they've developed during their years within the organization, to start a career in all fields across the spectrum. The organization invests in intelligent and motivated individuals, that are able to develop a wide variety of skills while spreading the message of liberty. Students who are going through the various Students For Liberty leadership trainings will benefit from them long after they've left the organization and utilize the acquired skills all along their future careers.
I go to Students For Liberty Conferences since I started at university. It's always a pleasure to meet inspiring people and challenge my mind with new ideas and perspectives. Publishing the magazine Peace Love Liberty for them in Germany was a perfect starting-point for my career as a journalist.
Students for Liberty stays true to its core principles at every level, demonstrating what liberty means in practice. The organization provides immense freedom for students to choose the initiatives they want to pursue, the skills they want to develop, and the difference they want to make. The best ideas and hardest workers filter to the top, and all are welcome as long as they are dedicated to promoting a freer, more compassionate future. I recommend getting involved as soon as possible- if the current rate of growth is any indicator, SFL is on track to be a potent force for change in the coming years.
Looking for a Classical Liberal that is Student based has been always difficult to find for a long time but with the creation of Students for Liberty, something has been created that has changed the Student experience for many all over the world. SFL is not only doing effective student activism in US colleges but it has expanded to most countries in the world including in countries which have been known to be strong havens for Socialism.
The effective International networking will mean that Students For Liberty will spread libertarian ideas in University Campuses in the majority of the World.
SFL is doing an excellent job regarding developing the skills of young people and empowering them. I myself became a member and learned so much and made experiences that will benefit all my future life. And, even more important, I found very good friends among all these amazing people within SFL.
A great charity with the noble goal of spreading the ideas of liberty and responsibility. I started volunteering at Students For Liberty at the age of 16 and I have greatly improved my own leadership skills and met inspiring people from all over the world from Albania, to Brazil and Hong Kong!
SFL is an unbelievably supportive community. SFL is about discussing ideas on politics, economics, social issues. SFL is about training and growing. SFL is about challenging the mainstream. SFL is about entrepreneurship. It's about networking.
Students for Liberty is a free space of discussion, place for peaceful, open-minded young people. SFL stands for liberty around the world, from each little place to the whole world brings opportunities and opens the space.
More transparent than other liberty organizations that I've dealt with. They've done a lot to help us on campus with the promotion of free speech during one of our events.
Students For Liberty is doing great and much-needed work in college campuses throughout the world. Something special about this organization is the fact that the volunteers have such a great say in the direction of the organization. This helps make the volunteers passionate about their work and translates to people being well-engaged with the work they are doing. SFL is making waves and does not falter in its mission to empower students to create a freer future.
Students For Liberty is one of the best pro-liberty student organizations in the movement. Their innovative bottom-up structure gives the student volunteers the best chance to do the events with the most impact as the activists know their student base the best. I love working with them, and their staff is polite, welcoming, and really knowledgeable.
I joined SFL 4 months ago, although I've been following their activities for more than a year. It's a tremendously effective organisation thanks to its decentralisation and bottom-up approach. SFL is successfully creating a dynamic and diverse network of students all over the world, who are working to change hearts and minds and achieve a freer society, especially in countries where it is needed the most. Students for Liberty provides an amazing opportunity for young people to learn, to meet brilliant peers and to positively impact others.
The place to be if you hold cherish civil liberties. Where students of today come to prepare themselves to be defenders of liberty tomorrow.
I went to many conferences and events organised and promoted by the Students for Liberty and it is remarkable to see how many young people are interested in changing the world
Becoming involved with Students For Liberty allowed me to meet people from all over the world dedicated to the ideas of personal liberty, while simultaneously developing my professional skills. I could not recommend it highly enough to other students!
Students for Liberty is honestly one of the greatest things to ever happen to me! This organization has educated me about the principles of a free society, allowed me to travel and meet some of the greatest minds in the classically liberal Philosophy (Steve Forbes, Ron Paul, Jeffrey Tucker, Antony Davies, and many more!), and has helped me develop a passion for fighting for a freer future.
The gold standard of libertarian organizing. Inclusive, intellectual, and innovative, SFL pushes for truly radical change. Consistent with that mission, the organization has proven that it's not afraid to change its own ways when change is needed.
I have been running a Students for Liberty chapter on campus at University of Maryland College Park for a year now. i would not have known where to start without the help of SFL Inc. They gave me free training over the summer and had me ecstatic for the the beginning of the school year. I was able to put on a few events throughout the year with their help and network of speakers and leaders in my area. As a club, we went to 4 of their conferences with free travel and food. They were even able to put me up in a hotel for all the work I have done for them this year. I have huge plans for next semester and I have no doubt that they will help me greatly along the way.
Joining Students For Liberty had a bigger impact in my personal development than my whole career at the university!
Students for Liberty has some of the most dedicated people involved. They see their work and their non-work lives as being for the same purpose and are extremely passionate about what they do.
Students For Liberty is at the forefront of pro-liberty organizations, building a young inspiring movement with a real impact.
Its standards of professionalism are unmatched by other student organizations and every year it manages to exceed expectactions and grow at an astonishing rate.
If you want to contribute to a pro-liberty organization, with SFL you are guaranteed your donation will be making a difference.
Students For Liberty has provided me with the necessary skills, resources, and support to go out into my community and advocate for the ideas that I find so important
Brilliant. Great to find minds that think alike in a world that seems to go more and more towards bigger government.
I had no real idea about the organization when I first applied for a volunteer position. Since then, it has transformed me in more ways than I could possibly list. Along the way, I met tons of interesting people, some of which have become very close friends of mine. Can't wait for the next conference to meet the team again!
During my time volunteering for Students For Liberty, I have experienced students with not just great passion for liberty but I have also watched them grow and become effective leaders leading change in the world - both locally, nationally and internationally.
The volunteers at Students For Liberty are students who will go on to do great things in their adult lives, and I am proud to be a part of this movement.
