Mission: Range education foundation (REF) was founded in 1991 for education purposes consistant with organizations qualifying for exemption under Section 501 of the Internal Revenue Code. It fosters sound policies on management of the western rangelands in the Untried States. It promotes education of the public on matters pertaining to the state of the western rangelands. Ref encourages cooperation between federal authorities, special interest groups and the range users. It further supports the publishing and promotion of Range magazine as it's main tool to further its cause and objectives.
