Causes: Developmentally Disabled Centers, Disabilities, Human Services
Mission: The mission of Raise is to create opportunities for vocational training, employment, and community engagement for youth and young adults with developmental disabilities. We envision a community where each individual is provided equal opportunity, support, and resources to live a self-directed and meaningful life.
Target demographics: youth and young adults with developmental disabilities
Direct beneficiaries per year: over 100 youth with disabilities
Geographic areas served: Virginia and beyond
Programs: school coffee businesses in special education classes, coffee trailer vending at community events, and to-be-established coffee shop and training center that will create jobs and integrated work experiences.
