Mission: The organization serves as a catalyst for economic development that promotes the diversity and livability of the rainier valley area of southeast seattle, washington.
Programs: The organization (rvcdf) acts as trustee for funds, provided by the city of seattle which form a revolving loan fund for the benefit of the rainier valley community. The funds may only be used for community development activities and in specified areas as defined in the trust document. In accordance with the terms of this agreement, rvcdf advanced funds approximating $1. 3 million for the business and real estate loans in 2017.
rvcdf provides technical assistance to several businesses in the geographic service area in addition to executing financial monitoring services in connection with several loans made during the year.
the organization also provided leadership support to the rainier valley chamber of commerce, martin luther king business association, and the rainier beach merchants association.
