Mission: To develop and disseminate rain catching programs and equipment to bring clean water to impoverished communities.
Programs: The purpose of raincatcher is to provide rainwater harvesting systems to schools and community groups that lack access to clean water. Raincatcher also provides systems and education to the communities served. In 2017, we focused our efforts on the refurbishment of old rainwater harvesting systems that needed replacement and support of local wash programing. We currently have a total of 76 projects in uganda and 39 in kenya. We have been working in uganda since 2011. Out staff visited all 76 projects during fy 2017 and 39 projects in kenya. The purpose of these visits was to observe that the systems were working properly and complete maintenance as needed. Repairs were done on a number of the older projects that included gutter and tap replacement.
