Mission: Our mission is to provide community stewardship and advocacy for the care, programming, and public art in the Railyard Park + Plaza. The Railyard Stewards are the nonprofit, conservancy organization responsible for the specialized horticultural care of the 28 award winning gardens and landscapes at the Railyard Park. Our Yardmasters volunteers work for two hours, each Tuesday and Thursday morning, with staff and horticulturalists to care for and maintain our xeric and native perennial plants. Times vary according to the season: Winter - 10 am to 12 pm, Spring/Fall - 9 am to 11 am, Summer - 8 am to 10 am. We meet at the Railyard Park Community Room located directly behind SITE Santa Fe near the intersection of Paseo de Peralta and Guadalupe St. Gardening tools, water, and work gloves are provided. All levels of gardening skills are welcome. The Railyard Stewards are an equal opportunity volunteer service provider.
Results: We maintain an active group of volunteers that meet every Tuesday and Thursday who help to caretake the various garden areas in the park. We also offer gardening programs, educational activities, and workshops in the spring and summer. Please visit our website at www.railyardpark.org for more information.
