Causes: Health, Home Health Care
Mission: The name, Quality of Life, was chosen in 1977 long before quality of life issues became a prevailing health care topic. The name was chosen because it was a belief that it best depicted the philosophy, vision and mission of the agency. Quality of Life believes it is the organization's responsibility to operate programs and provide services in which it works with clients and their families to define what "quality of life" means to them, and to accept the definition which enables them to make informed decisions and choices regarding the type of services which will contribute to a meaningful lifestyle. QLS' mission is to ensure the processes of the agency are functional and work toward ongoing improvement to meet the challenges of the future. Client services are geared toward either the maintenance or improvement of the client's functional, physical, mental, social and environmental needs for the betterment of the quality of life which the client perceives.
