Causes: Autism Research, Health
Mission: Research-based professional training program in qigong massage treatment for children with autism.
Programs: During 2017, there were three qsti-2 courses conducted. Sixteen students graduated from the training program including 2 master training candidates. Of these graduates six were from nantes france. The nantes training involved the substantial translation to french of the qst2 books and training materials which will now allow the program to expand further in europe and into canada. There were approximately six qsti-1 on-line courses purchased during the year that required supervision and follow-up by one of the qsti master trainers. The supervision infrastructure was rebuilt and the institute is now able to communicate with students using moodle. This helps to establish community and build a network among students. The new infrastructure has streamlined the communication between teacher and students which increased class efficiency and enables the consolidation of classes. In addition qsti-2 graduates will be qsti-1 and parent trainer course certified. Revision and development by master trainers for both the qsti-1 and qsti-2 programs continued throughout the year. Programs for downs syndrome parents and therapist were also developed. After coaching and training expenses, these activities provided approximately $3,000 in revenue over the past several months. Continuing sales of qsti books and dvds provide a revenue source of approximately $1,000 to $1,500 per month.
