Mission: The Prostatitis Foundation was founded by men suffering from chronic prostatitis to advance research and education about the disease. Through TPF's efforts, the US Congress has learned about the need for research funding and has directed the National Institutes of Health to develop research programs on prostatitis. The Prostatitis Foundation works diligently to inform patients about the current standards of care for prostatitis, both through its website and through traditional documents, and to bring the level of physician care up to the current standards.
