Mission: Project NICU is dedicated to providing financial and emotional support and resources to families with children in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the medical professionals who care for them.
Target demographics: support families with children in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and the medical professionals who care for them
Direct beneficiaries per year: NICU families by providing 4,000 care packages for those currently in the NICU. Donated $26,000 back to NICU families through our Family Assistance Fund, bereavement support, and advocacy. Supported nearly 550 NICU parents in our virtual support groups and parent mentor programs; and provided funding for 384 free counseling sessions. With the support of 28 ambassadors, we reached NICU families in 19 hospitals across 14 states in the US. Our online platforms supported 17,000 community members!
Geographic areas served: the Northeast Ohio communities, as well as several cities nationwide
Programs: care package deliveries, virtual parent support groups, and free mental health counseling in partnership with Betterhelp. We provide financial assistance through our Family Assistance Fund - providing funds for food, lodging, transportation and emergency bill pay.
