Mission: Project My Day, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Newburgh, New York. We believe every child should be recognized and deserves to celebrate important events in their life. Our mission is to bring JOY into the lives of children in foster care in Dutchess and Orange County, New York, by giving them gifts on their special day(s) (Birthdays which will include essential boxes, moving-up day, graduation, prom, just because, etc.)
We work with the Dutchess and Orange County Department of Social Services and The Children's Home of Poughkeepsie to get wishlists from foster children, so we can get them what they want or need. We are the only registered 501(c)(3) providing gifts to foster children on their day(s) in the Hudson Valley.
Results: 228 special events celebrated to date. By December, we will have collected and distributed gifts that helped children in foster care (1 with significant financial need) celebrate 488 special day(s)!

Project My Day is a commendable non-profit organization dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of foster care children. Their unwavering commitment to bringing joy and hope in lives of these vulnerable youngsters is truly praiseworthy. Project My Day deserves recognition for their noble mission and the tangible difference they make in the lives of those who need it most .
I have been volunteering with Project My Day Inc. since April 2023.
What Amanda Oberpriller has created is absolutely amazing and when I heard about what she was planning I knew I wanted to be apart of her cause to provide personalized gifts for these children (birth-21 years old) in the foster care system on their special days.
She has drempt of this for many years and now it's become a reality for her. I am so happy to be involved with Project My Day Inc. and all that it represents for these kids in Dutchess and Orange county foster care systems. I may not be able to see the child's face when they get their gift but in my heart I know I am putting a smile on a childs face and making a difference in that child's life.
I was apart of her bowling fundraiser a couple months back and it was a success and the organization made their goal.
