Mission: Program reach, inc. Was founded in 1999 and incorporated in 2001 to help community organizations reach at-risk youth in distressful pregnancies. In 2003 program reach developed the healthy respect - youth development program. This program provides 23 intensive classroom sessions of character-based risk avoidance education for students in grades 7 through 11. The organization promotes programs designed to guide young people in making healthy choices that set them on a safe course towards success.
Programs: A new curriculum model is being utilized in the current replication program aimed at reducing risky behaviors in the 6th and 7th grade youth that we serve. In 2014 we successfully completed third project year of full implementation of the promoting health among teens! Replication grant and achieved all milestones for the project.
the healthy respect character development summer program changed knowledge and attitudes of participant students toward staying healthy and making good choices. This reflected a greater likelihood that students agree with favorable statements toward staying healthy and making good choices after taking the week-long program.
