Nonprofit Overview
Mission: To better the careers of licensed professional triathletes and to better the sport of professional triathlon. The professional triathlon association was formed to provide a collective voice for the professional triathlete. In doing so, it will enhance the careers and livelihood of the professional triathlete.
Programs: The professional triathlon (prota) established a website for its members. Members can visit the site for information regarding the sport. Prota established a protocol to interact with related parties, such as race directors, international federations and race promotors. Prota acted on its members behalf to voice their opinion on specific rules set in place by one of the main race organizers in the sport (world triathlon corporation). Prota sends out a monthly newsletter. Prota has conducted surveys of its members to provide information for media, race directors, etc.
