Mission: Path international changes and enriches lives by promoting excellence in equine-assisted activities and therapies for children and adults who are challenged physically, emotionally, or mentally.
Programs: Membership provides a sense of community for the equine-assisted activities and therapies (eaat) professionals and supporters who join path international. More than 8,000 members around the world help more than 66,000 children and adults with physical, cognitive and emotional challenges as they strive to reach their health and wellness goals. Additionally, path international strides magazine, enews, and website provide valuable information to members and the public.
standards and education covers several aspects of the organization that deals with the professionalism of equine assisted activities and therapies (eaat). Path international sets safety and best practice standards for eaat centers and professionals. Path international also provides educational opportunities to professionals in the eaat industry via online courses, webinars, and in person workshops and clinics. Additionally, path international certifies eaat professionals in several disciplines, and provides site inspection accreditation visits. Finally, path international provides direct reimbursement to path centers for services provided to veterans under grant contracts.
the annual path international conference and 11 regional conferences provide approximately 1,500 individuals with specific education on serving people with disabilities, best practices in the eaat industry, equine health and welfare, and community engagement.
