Mission: Inspiring community investment in student learning experiences.
Target demographics: Poudre School District is "floor funded" in the State of Colorado's current funding model. The PSD Foundation helps fund programs and services that supplement normal operations of Poudre School District.
Direct beneficiaries per year: We awarded $53,000 in Impact Grants, assisted PSD families in need through our Compassion Fund, and secured over $1M in scholarship funding for PSD students looking to attain technical certificates and/or a college degree.
Geographic areas served: Through Inspiring community investments, the PSD Foundation is committed to providing lifelong learning opportunities that compliment and celebrates every student, quality teachers, and innovative programming.
Programs: Since 2001, the Poudre School District Foundation has awarded over $1M in grant funding to educators, schools, and programs in Poudre School District. Poudre School District Foundation focuses on the following funding priorities: Literacy Mental Health & Belonging Graduation with Options Compassion Fund We direct philanthropic gifts via the following avenues: Impact Grants (formerly SPiE Grants) are given each year to allow educators, schools, or program leads to pilot innovative ideas, curriculum, learning environments in their classroom that traditional funding would not allow. The grants allow our schools to be on the cutting edge of new ideas in education and allow for equitable access to transformative education. The PSD Foundation's Compassion Fund assists children and their families who are experiencing housing, food, and basic necessity insecurity. We partner with school and district staff members to help remove barriers to education. This past year we have been able to help over 36 families access or maintain housing, gain access to transportation, and secure basic necessities.
