Causes: Animal Protection & Welfare, Animals
Mission: Our purpose is to rescue cats at risk of euthanasia from animal controls and homeless cats off the streets and provide them with safe shelter and medical care and adopt them into loving homes. We also spay and neuter cats decrease the overpopulation problem of cats in the shreveport - bossier area. During the year, we saved over 400 cats from animal controls and the streets. We adopted around that many into homes, as well. All of the cats we brought in were provided medical care, vaccinations, shelter, food, care, and more. We held adoption events at petco on the weekends and used the petsmart adoption center to place our cats into adopted homes.
Programs: Medical care (vet bills) - this program service includes all medical care for sick cats, including rabies vaccinations, medicine, in-hospital care, and spay and neuters.
general care of cats (pet supplies) - this program services includes food, litter, bedding, and other supplies needed to keep our cats healthy and happy while they wait to be adopted.
shelter (rent) - this service is our expense for our building. Our shelter houses between 40 and 80 cats all year, and gives the cats a safe place to stay, which is off the streets and out of high - kill shelters. We provide cats a safe place to stay while they wait to be adopted.
