Mission: Passion, creativity, and dedication to the art are the driving forces of Pointeworks, a company committed to inspiring communities by celebrating the voices of dance, with a special emphasis on female choreographers. We strive to nurture and connect artists of all background, and to bring a balance to the kinds of voices that are represented on stage through classical and contemporary works
Results: Pointeworks strives to highlight female and BIPOC artists and choreographers. The Tides Film is our first project to provide a platform to these artists. The Tides is a pas de deux that was choreographed for the artists of Pointeworks by Leiland Charles. The film was created under the artistic vision of Sophie Williams and produced with videographer Alexander Sargent. The Tides has been featured in International Fine Arts Film Festival, Women in Film and Television - Cyprus - WIFT CYPRUS, Cyprus International Film Festival "Golden Aphrodite". Pointeworks has also been featured in Dance Data Project's September 2023 Newsletter on Innovation & Entrepreneurship.
