Mission: Our Mission
Play-Place’s mission is to provide a fun-filled, judgment-free, haven of hope for families affected by autism. Through a unique play-powered environment, we combine recreation and education with a variety of social, occupational and physical therapeutic overtones. Our one-of-a-kind destination focuses on development, life skills, independence, respite relief, resource management and vocational rehabilitation to assist families the everyday nuances of “living with autism.” Play-Place for Autistic Children’s bottom line is inclusion, acceptance and support.
Our Vision
Our 20,000 square foot, one-of-a-kind facility will boast a computer café for interactive academic skill building & communication; a Haircut Hut for a soothing, grooming experience; an “Art of Autism” workshop for creative expression, peer relationship building and self-esteem enrichment; an 18x20 colorful playscape offering gross & fine motor development, motor planning and sensory-integration; a giant gladiator slide for sensory-integration, balance & depth perception; a 75 seat cinema theatre for behavioral & focus therapy; a Bistro/coffee shop for that “me-too” conversation, sharing & a chance to exhale -- together with budget-conscious supplementary services including group speech & occupational therapy, hyperbaric chamber therapy, sensory integration services and more.
Play-Place’s vision is to pioneer experiences that combine the magic of hope with the power of play and recovery. Our focus is to become the world’s premier destination for autism relief.
