Plants on Wheels initiative is unique and truly admirable. Volunteering with them at their latest Base Earth Day event is truly gratifying. Their efforts to raise awareness about veganism not only among adults but also among students represent a truly thoughtful act, raising awareness among younger generations about the importance of protecting animals and the vegan options available on the market.
SO impressed with the organization’s mission, execution and impact! This is an excellent opportunity for vegans and non-vegans alike to get aboard with feeding + donating to the needy; all while leaving the animals unharmed. I had a great time working with the other volunteers and serving the community. I have always wanted to volunteer in feeding the homeless but have not been unable to, since serving non-vegan food goes against my ethical beliefs. I’m glad I found Plants on Wheels to do more good in the world.

Plants on Wheels is a really great organization, that makes it easy for you to see the variety of meal options you have if you are on a vegan diet. They are very warm and friendly and just genuinely want to give back to the community. It was a real pleasure being able to volunteer with them at the Thanksgiving event this year, and just watch the innumerable number of smiles and touched hearts.

I work at The Salvation Army: Port Richmond Corps on Staten Island as the food pantry coordinator. Plant on wheels has donated amazing food for distribution during our pantry days. We even cooked some during our soup kitchen hours. I am grateful for Plant on Wheels joining us in helping the community in need.

I'm the Public Program Manager at Queens Botanical Garden. Plants on Wheels attended as a food vendor at our Climate Arts Festival in April 2024. Larry and Cybill were great and spent a lot of time sharing their knowledge and expertise around plant based diets with our visitors. Their food was also very tasty from what I heard!

It was such a pleasure to have Plants on Wheels at our high school Earth Day event! They made the event really special with all of the incredible plant based snacks and food that they brought. Our students loved the sandwiches and the staff from Plants on Wheels spoke with them about plant based eating in a welcoming and engaging way. They were incredibly generous with their time and all of the food they brought for our students to try. They really helped make the event a big success!

Plants on Wheels is amazing. Such caring people run this non-profit, and they are dedicated to giving plant-based food to people in need. Their events are heartwarming and the food is always delicious. I've seen first hand how much of a positive impact they make with giving out hot meals and also giving away free coats/clothes to people in need.
