Mission: Ppncf, a not-for-profit organization incorporated in 1996, qualifies as a section 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization pursuant to the internal revenue code. Its primary purpose is to render assistance and make grants to ppnc and other not-for-profit organizations providing substantially similar services in the nassau county area. On december 16, 2010, ppncf received approval from the nassau county supreme court to transfer assets and liabilities of ppncf to ppnc. As of december 31, 2011, with less than $25,000 in assets, ppncf was awaiting approval from the nys attorney general to formally dissolve the corporation. Final dissolution has been approved by new york state departmenty of state effective june 25, 2012.
